The tour departs promptly at 8.00 am from the Stables Market Place on Sani Road, just outside the village of Himeville, therefore you should be ready by 7:45 am. You'll be immersed in the culture of the Basotho people at a historical trading post, and get a glimpse into history by visiting this small village. The Lesotho town Mokhotlong is a scenic hour-and-a-half drive from the Sani Pass Border Post. You will go Basotho Pony-Trekking in the foothills near Mokhotlong with your guide to the heart of a homestead to learn from these pleasant and warm people. Because Mokhotlong is so isolated, it has escaped the development that other cities in Lesotho have experienced. As a result, you may experience a truly authentic village in the ‘Kingdom in the Sky’. Your return via Sani Pass will be completed with a visit to Africa’s Highest Pub. You will return to Himeville around 6:00 pm. Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe
