Day 1
Your safari adventure begins with your arrival at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, where you are warmly welcomed to Zimbabwe. After touching down in the bustling capital of Harare, you are transferred to your hotel for a relaxing overnight stay. The remainder of the day offers time to unwind from your journey, enjoy the city’s calm atmosphere, and prepare for the exciting wilderness experience ahead. The following morning, after breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Mana Pools National Park, where the true safari adventure begins amidst breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife. Day 2
Using a small aircraft, you fly into Mana Pools National Park, enjoying breathtaking aerial views of Zimbabwe’s untamed wilderness along the way. Upon landing, you are transferred to your safari lodge, set in the heart of this remarkable destination on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River. Activities in the Mana Pools National Park as scheduled by your guide. Games drives are in open 4x4 Toyota Land Cruisers. Walking to explore and learn about the area, with your armed Professional Guide it is the best way to experience the incredible diversity of animals, insects and flora at Mana Pools. Mana Pools can provide some amazing experiences, if guests are looking for close encounters with game. Canoeing is done in 5.5m (18ft) Canadian style canoes, fitted with comfortable seats and cushions. A day at Mana Pools National Park begins with the soft light of dawn over the Zambezi River and the sounds of the African bush coming to life. Early mornings are spent exploring the wilderness on game drives, walking safaris, or canoe excursions, with opportunities to see elephants, buffalo, hippos, lions, and an incredible variety of birdlife in their natural habitat. During the warmer hours of the day, guests relax at the lodge, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and watching wildlife wander through the floodplains and riverbanks nearby. After an unforgettable stay in Mana Pools National Park, a short scenic flight carries you across the dramatic landscapes of northern Zimbabwe to Kariba Airport. Upon arrival, you are warmly welcomed and transferred to the lakeside, where a boat transfer awaits to take you across the tranquil waters of Lake Kariba. As you cruise past scattered islands and breathtaking views, you arrive at the secluded beauty of Spurwing Island, a peaceful retreat surrounded by the calm waters and natural beauty of Africa’s largest man-made lake. Day 6
Your day begins at sunrise, when the lake is at its calmest and most productive. After a light breakfast, you’ll head out by boat with an experienced local fishing guide who knows the best spots depending on the season and water conditions. The early hours are ideal for targeting the lake’s most famous catch—the powerful Tigerfish, known for its speed, sharp teeth, and exhilarating fight. Around midday, you’ll take a relaxed break—either returning briefly to the island or stopping at a scenic lakeside spot. Enjoy a packed lunch or freshly prepared meal Cool off with drinks while taking in uninterrupted lake views Rest during the warmer part of the day when fish are less active In the late afternoon, you return to the water as temperatures cool and fish become active again. After a relaxed morning at Spurwing Island, you’ll depart by boat across the calm waters of Lake Kariba. The transfer typically takes 20–40 minutes, depending on water conditions Early departures are especially scenic, with soft morning light over the lake Along the way, you may spot hippos, crocodiles, and fish eagles As you approach the mainland, the shoreline of Kariba comes into view, with its small harbor and relaxed lakeside atmosphere. On arrival in Kariba, you’ll be transferred to the local airstrip for your scheduled or charter flight to Victoria Falls.
