Waterberg Plateau Park, Namibia
Discover Namibia during the vibrant green season when summer rains transform the landscapes into lush plains. Calving season is in full swing, attracting predators and making big cat sightings more frequent. With fewer travellers, national parks feel wonderfully quiet and exclusive. This special time of year also offers better availability at Namibia's prime lodges, creating a relaxed safari with incredible wildlife encounters and beautiful scenery. After a brief introduction, you will begin your transfer into Windhoek, Namibia’s relaxed and charming capital city. The drive into town takes approximately 40–45 minutes, giving you your first glimpse of Namibia’s wide open landscapes and surrounding mountains. Once in Windhoek, you will check in to your hotel and have time to settle in after your journey. Dinner this evening can be enjoyed either at your hotel or at one of Windhoek’s nearby local restaurants, offering a chance to sample some of Namibia’s excellent cuisine before your safari adventure begins. Day 2
After breakfast, you will meet your guide at the hotel and begin the day with a short city tour of Windhoek, offering a brief introduction to Namibia’s capital and its main landmarks. Afterwards, you will depart for your next destination, a private game reserve bordering Waterberg National Park. During your stay, you'll enjoy guided game drives in search of wildlife, particularly antelope species that are in calving season during the green months, often attracting predators (Big Cats) to the area. You may also explore the park on scenic walking trails, take in the dramatic views from the Waterberg Plateau, and enjoy excellent birding opportunities. An optional visit can also be arranged to the nearby Cheetah Conservation Fund, where you can take part in a cheetah drive and learn about the important conservation work being done to protect these remarkable cats. Mid-range lodge located less than 1hr drive from Waterberg Plateau All meals included Beer and wine (Other drinks not included)
Day 4
Over the next few days, you will explore the lush landscapes of Bwabwata and Mahango National Parks in northeastern Namibia. During the green season, summer rains transform the floodplains and woodlands into vibrant habitats rich with wildlife. This is also calving season, when many antelope give birth, attracting predators and making December to March an excellent time to see lions, leopards, and other big cats in action. You'll enjoy guided game drives through both parks in search of elephant, buffalo, antelope, and abundant birdlife. One afternoon, you will also take a relaxing cruise on the Okavango River, offering beautiful scenery and the chance to see hippos, crocodiles, and wildlife gathering along the water’s edge. Mid-range lodge located just outside Mahango GR (Zambezi Region) Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 7
Today, your journey continues west toward Etosha National Park, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife destinations. You will spend the next two nights on the eastern boundary of the park, an excellent area for diverse wildlife sightings. During the green season, Etosha transforms as summer rains fill the waterholes and surrounding pans, drawing large numbers of animals to the area. Calving season brings many newborn antelope to the plains, often attracting predators such as lions and other wild cats. Over the next two days, you will enjoy game drives through the park in search of elephants, giraffes, zebra, antelope, and a variety of predators, while keeping an eye out for the many young animals that make this time of year especially rewarding. Mid-range tented camp located just outside Etosha NP Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 9
Today is spent exploring Etosha National Park with a full-day game drive as you travel through the park’s vast landscapes, stopping at waterholes and open plains in search of wildlife. During the green season, the bush is lush and fresh after the summer rains, attracting large numbers of grazing animals that feed on the new vegetation. Tomorrow, you'll enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives in the park. With wildlife spread across the plains and around the waterholes, there are excellent opportunities to see elephants, giraffe, zebra, antelope, and predators moving through the thriving landscape. This time of year is particularly rewarding as many young animals can be seen alongside their herds. Luxury lodge located outside Etosha NP Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 11
Today, you will depart Etosha National Park and begin your journey south toward Windhoek. Along the way, you will stop at Otjiwa Safari Lodge, located roughly halfway between Etosha and the capital, set within a beautiful private reserve. Upon arrival, you can enjoy a variety of activities offered by the lodge, such as game drives or nature walks in the reserve. Alternatively, an optional stop can be arranged en route to visit a traditional Himba village, offering a unique opportunity to learn about the culture and daily life of one of Namibia’s most iconic communities. The evening can then be spent relaxing at the lodge and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Luxury lodge located inside Otjiwa Game Farm Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included

5.0/5Nature Travel Namibia exceeded our expectations in every way. Right from the beginning, communications were excellent regarding itinerary planning and realised very quickly we were in the hands of true travel professionals. The consultant prepared a fantastic itinerary at short notice to suit our budget and we had a brilliant and very memorable birding trip around Namibia for 16 days. We travelled with a clued up bird guide who drove us very safely the whole 4,475km journey. The guide was extremely hard working, diligent and patient with us with a good sense of humour. All the lodges and camps selected ranged from nice to beyond beautiful. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nature Travel Namibia and we will be back to do it again one day.

We organized the tour of Namibia, the safari, next stops at Victoria Falls and Chobe through e-mail exchanges. Mrs Petra was attentive to our requests and able to adapt her proposal to our preferences. She understood what we wanted and helped us to turn a dream into reality. It was amazing! The guide, Marcel, she is an excellent driver. She knows the areas very well and we didn’t miss any opportunity to see animals and experience fun adventure. she is positive, communicative and respectful of customer’s space. The transfers and accommodations were well organized. We can say it was unforgettable holiday because of landscapes, animals, contact with nature, confort and good vibes!

From the moment our adventure began, Nature Travel Namibia delivered an experience that was nothing short of exceptional. Every detail—from the seamless logistics to the thoughtfully curated itinerary, which included all our special requests—reflected their commitment to excellence and genuine passion for travel. Communication with Pepi was very smooth throughout. Joram, the BEST GUIDE EVER, was wonderful from the moment he picked us up at the airport and remained exceptional throughout the entire trip. He was not only highly knowledgeable but also warm, thoughtful, engaging, and incredibly attentive to the needs of our family. His local insights added depth to every stop, turning each moment into a story worth remembering. The accommodations, meals, and activities were all top-notch, striking the perfect balance between comfort and authenticity. The app that allowed us to follow the itinerary—from Windhoek through Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Twyfelfontein, and finally the breathtaking Etosha—was very handy. We especially loved the Tug Restaurant in Swakopmund, and each lodge had its own unique personal touch. The state-run ones within Etosha were more crowded, but still enjoyable. Namibia is such a wonderful country—it truly felt like we were part of a David Attenborough documentary. What truly set this experience apart was the personal touch, thanks to Joram, who took such amazing care of us that saying goodbye was genuinely emotional. I wholeheartedly recommend this operator to anyone seeking an unforgettable travel experience. Thank you for making this trip extraordinary!

Nature Travel Namibia organized a fantastic 14 days tour in Namibia for the 2 of us. Everything was professionally done and the selection of lodges was superb. Nadine managed to get a small celebration form my wife's birthday as well. Our guide, Stewart Matsoto made the experience even better with his good knowledge of the country and the nature. I strongly suggest to organize your next tour or safari with Nature Travel Namibia.
