Day 1
You will be met at Nairobi International Airport or your hotel by your Tapestry of Africa safari guide. After a warm welcome and safari briefing, you'll set out on the drive to the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. Along the way, you'll enjoy scenic views of rolling hills and open plains, with a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to take in sweeping vistas. You'll continue through colorful villages and farmlands before arriving at your lodge or camp in time for lunch. The next three days are devoted to thrilling adventures in the Masai Mara. Each day you’ll set out on morning and afternoon game drives, the best times to spot wildlife when animals are most active. The reserve is famed for its Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino. If you prefer, your guide can also arrange an all-day game drive with a picnic in the bush, allowing you even more time to immerse yourself in the Mara’s breathtaking savannahs and experience unforgettable wildlife encounters. Luxury lodge located inside Masai Mara NR (Kenya) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 4
Today is a long but rewarding journey that takes you deeper into the heart of Africa. After breakfast, you’ll drive 2–3 hours to the Isebania border, passing through rural villages and countryside that showcase the rhythms of everyday life. After completing border formalities, you’ll meet your Tanzanian safari guide and enjoy lunch before continuing the 3–4 hour journey toward Serengeti National Park. As you approach the gates, your adventure begins with a 2–3 hour game drive en route to your lodge, where dinner and a warm welcome await. The next three days are devoted to exploring the Serengeti, one of the most iconic safari destinations on earth. Each day will feature game drives in the morning and afternoon, when wildlife is most active, or if you prefer, an exhilarating full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. This flexibility ensures you experience the Serengeti at your own pace while maximizing your opportunities to witness its breathtaking landscapes and incredible wildlife. Luxury lodge located inside Central Serengeti NP (Tanzania) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 7
After breakfast, you'll depart the Serengeti on a four-hour drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most breathtaking natural wonders. You'll descend nearly 2,000 feet to the crater floor for a picnic lunch before beginning your afternoon game drive. With its mix of grasslands, lakes, and woodlands, the crater is home to elephants, lions, wildebeest, zebras, and the rare black rhino. The next day offers a full-day exploration of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. An early descent gives you more time to discover its diverse habitats, from hippo-filled pools to open plains alive with antelope and gazelle. With a picnic lunch in the bush, you’ll enjoy uninterrupted wildlife viewing before ascending back to the crater rim by late afternoon, reflecting on two remarkable days in this one-of-a-kind sanctuary. Luxury tented camp located on the crater rim of Ngorongoro Crater (Tanzania) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 9
After breakfast, you'll travel 3–4 hours by road to the town of Arusha, where you’ll connect to a short flight bound for Zanzibar Island. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your driver and transferred to your beach resort. As you settle in, the pace of your safari shifts from thrilling game drives to the tranquil rhythm of island life. The turquoise waters, swaying palms, and white-sand beaches of Zanzibar create the perfect setting for relaxation. The following four days are yours to enjoy at leisure. You'll unwind by the ocean, stroll along the soft sands, or take a refreshing swim in the warm Indian Ocean. Your resort offers the ideal base to rest and recharge, but you may also choose optional activities such as spice tours, cultural visits to Stone Town, or snorkeling among colorful coral reefs. 5.0/5Our 10-day African safari to Kenya and Tanzania was magical and memorable! We are so glad we chose to go with Tapestry of Africa because we were taken care of from the very beginning, from the video call to discuss itinerary options and prompt answers to every question (and there were a lot). The suggested accommodations were beyond expectations (even got the honeymoon suite at one - which was nice since we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary) and the food at each of them was excellent - some offering à la cart and others buffet style, which made for a nice variety during our stay. Albert, Hilda and Matt were there checking in on us prior to the trip and throughout and our guides, Alex and Ernest, took care of us through each of the parks and made sure we saw animals and had a great time. We really loved having the pop-up roof Land Cruiser all to ourselves and the personalized care and insights that each guide provided. We were very happy with the time of year we chose to go - as the weather was not too hot or too cold and not crowded! The bonus of booking with Tapestry of Africa was the humanitarian efforts that the organization provides with dental care to underserved African communities!

We just finished our safari with Tapestry of Africa and overall a great experience. We felt the price was great and our accomodation was very comfortable, especially our last stay in Amboselli at the Tortellis camp. A note to others that there is a lot of driving involved and over some very rough roads so be prepared for that. Also arrival times at some lodges are usually later than expected so again be prepared for this. Having said that we loved it all and were very happy with this company.

I started planning my safari vacation a year ahead and after reviewing several operators, I chose to go with Tapestry of Africa. Initially it was because of the quick response to my many queries, their patience with my constantly changing itinerary and their ability to immediately understand that this was a dream vacation for my family and I. Matt, Albert and Hilda worked with me patiently for 8 months on the most suitable itinerary, best accommodation within my budget and the experiences I was looking for - meticulously planning every minute detail. Matt’s input was invaluable and he sent me photos and videos of places, accommodations and experiences that we could have. I was indecisive about Lake Naivasha and Matt took a video of his boat ride on the lake to show me what it would be like! I was not sure of the lodge in Amboseli and Matt sent me a personal photo of his visit to Amboseli……The trip was perfect in every aspect thanks to Tapestry. In fact it was beyond expectation. There is not one thing I would change. I have traveled extensively in many countries and I have worked with a lot of tour operators, but with Tapestry of Africa, I felt like I had a friend or family helping me plan this vacation. From the day we landed in Nairobi till the day we returned home, someone from Tapestry was always checking in on us - was the drive ok, was the accommodation ok, how the safari was going, did we need anything….I felt I had a friend who was looking out for us at all times. Of course we saw a lot of animals, of course the places we visited were magical and the experience simply out of this world. But the best part of the vacation was the service and care provided by Tapestry. Hilda checked on us as we were waiting to board our return flight, after the vacation! I have never had a tour operator make sure I reached home safe and sound after the vacation! Hilda made sure we reached home! Along with helping plan the most perfect vacation, Tapestry will provide personal care and attention. They go above and beyond their call of duty. We went to Kenya for a vacation and returned not only with fabulous memories and unforgettable moments but also with a deep bond with the team at Tapestry. Most tour operators will organize a safari vacation but Tapestry stands out as one that truly cares about their clients.

Tapestry of Africa was the perfect choice for us. After doing a group tour in southern Africa the previous year we realised that this time we wanted to maximise the time spent in the national parks with the animals so Kenya was perfect. I was looking for a longer trip, around 3 weeks, that was packed with safari days. There were only a few companies I could find doing longer trips that included Tsavo N.P. We wanted to go to Tanzania as part of the trip, specifically the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. I found Tapestry on Safari Bookings as they had a perfect trip listed. Tapestry had amazing communication and flexibility when booking, allowing me to get my dream trip to everywhere I wanted to go for a suitable budget and timeframe. Matt at Tapestry will make sure your trip is exactly what you want, you won’t just be another booking as you will be with some other companies. We also contacted a larger company who were too pushy to get the sale, only focusing on telling us how many reviews they had. We had separate guides and vehicles in Kenya and Tanzania but we had a great time in both. Our guides were both very experienced, friendly and professional (and we had a really great time with them). Thanks to the knowledge and networking of our guides, the overload of animals we saw made sure that our cameras were never put away. We will go back for another trip in a few years and we will talk to Tapestry because they listened to what we wanted and we trust them to deliver a great trip.
