Day 1
Johannesburg or Pretoria to Pilanesberg Game Reserve
This tour offers an early morning pick-up from Johannesburg or Pretoria to Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The 2 to 3-hour drive includes an optional en-route breakfast stop. The game drive starts at around 09h00 to 09h15 am and lasts for 2½ to 3 hours, depending on animal sightings. Lunch is from 12h00 to 13h00 at the Pilanesberg Centre, and guests then proceed to Manyane Resort. The afternoon game drive starts between 16h00 and 16h30 and lasts for 2½ to 3 hours. After the game drive, guests return to the resort for dinner prepared by the guide. Your overnight stay is in thatched chalets. The package includes transportation, game drives, and accommodation. Day 2
Pilanesberg Game Reserve - Johannesburg or Pretoria
Wake up early for hot beverages and rusks before it’s time to depart for a 2½ to 3-hour sunrise game drive in an open safari vehicle. Again, the exact length of the game drive depends on what you see and how long you stop at animal sightings. Return to Manyane for a hearty breakfast prepared by your guide. At about 11h00, we pack up and leave the resort. We head off into the bushveld in our closed tour vehicle for our last game drive in Pilanesberg. At midday, we stop for lunch and refreshments at the Pilanesberg Centre (for your own account) and then leave the game reserve for the return journey to Johannesburg. You can expect to arrive back in the city between 17h30 and 18h30. The exact time depends on where you need to be dropped off as well as the late afternoon traffic. Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe
