Exploring Tsavo East
After an early breakfast, set off from Diani Beach on a scenic drive through Kenya’s countryside as you head toward the legendary Tsavo East National Park. Arrive by midday and check in at your safari lodge, where you can relax briefly before the excitement begins. In the afternoon, venture into the vast red-dust plains for a thrilling game drive. Keep your camera ready as you track Tsavo’s famous “Red Elephants,” powerful lions, stealthy leopards, graceful giraffes, zebras, and herds of antelopes roaming freely across the open savannah. A highlight of the day is a stop at the Aruba Dam—a magnet for wildlife and one of the best spots for breathtaking photos. Your guide will enrich the experience with fascinating insights into the park’s unique landscapes and diverse ecosystem. Sunrise Safari & Return to Diani
Wake up to the gentle sounds of the African bush and set out on an early morning game drive—one of the most magical times to explore Tsavo East. The sunrise paints the savannah in golden light, creating the perfect backdrop for unforgettable wildlife photography. This is when predators are most active, offering a chance to spot lions completing their night hunts, cheetahs gliding across the plains, or hyenas returning to their dens. You may also encounter elephants moving gracefully through the morning mist and hippos slipping back into the water after grazing under the stars. After this enriching experience, return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast before checking out. Excellent service
I visited Salt Lick in Taita Hills in January and then proceeded to Amboseli National Park. The views of Mt. Kilimanjaro from the hotel rooms were breathtaking. I also loved having a close-up view of the elephants. Roseline is quite informed, and she made our stay more enjoyable; we didn't need to look further for information. Tedio Tours curated the trip in such a way that we focused more on our vacation than on figuring out what to do. This was a memorable experience, and we are grateful for it.
