Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or airport in Nairobi. Drive north through the central highlands, passing scenic landscapes, tea and coffee plantations, and views of Mount Kenya. Arrive in time for lunch and check-in at Samburu Simba Lodge. After some relaxation, head out for an afternoon game drive in Buffalo Springs Reserve, where you may spot elephants, lions, leopards, and the unique northern species. After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in Buffalo Springs National Reserve with packed lunch. Explore the reserve along the Ewaso Nyiro River, a lifeline for wildlife in this dry region. Search for the Samburu Special Five as well as predators such as lions and cheetahs. The open landscapes and fewer crowds offer excellent photography opportunities and uninterrupted wildlife viewing.
