Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive south toward Amboseli National Park, famed for its iconic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. On arrival, settle into your lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Amboseli offers spectacular views of large elephant herds, alongside giraffes, zebras, and predators roaming the plains. The park’s swamps attract abundant birdlife, making it a paradise for photographers and nature lovers. After breakfast, journey east toward Tsavo West National Park, a land of dramatic scenery and diverse habitats. The park is known for its volcanic landscapes, rolling hills, and the striking Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear waters host hippos and crocodiles. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive across lava flows and acacia woodlands, searching for lions, leopards, and the famed “red elephants” coated in Tsavo’s dust. Leave Tsavo West behind and cross into Tsavo East, one of Kenya’s largest and oldest national parks. The landscape here opens into vast savannahs dotted with baobab trees, creating a classic safari atmosphere. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive across the park’s expansive plains, where sightings of elephants, buffalo, and antelope are common. Tsavo East is also home to the Yatta Plateau, the world’s longest lava flow, and the Galana River, which attracts wildlife year-round. Our family Kenyan safari trip to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary was perfectly planned by Denis from the moment we landed in Nairobi, to our last day. We traveled to Ol Tukai in the Amboseli Park before setting for Serena Kilaguni in the West and our safari ended in Salt Lick Lodg a beautiful lodge in Taita wildlife conservancy.The variety of animals we saw was breathtaking. Our 25th wedding anniversary was celebrated at Kilaguni Serena with an amazing day watching the elephants and other animals come to the watrhole to take water and beautiful intimate dinner party and dancing with the entire staff during the evening. Our guide Joseph was amazin all through the journey. Made us feel very safe and always gave us options and a lot of information about Kenya and her wildlife
