Day 1

JHB Transfer to Hazyview & Optional Activities

The shuttle departs from O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg at 7:00 am. On arrival in Hazyview, approximately 5 hours later, you will be collected by an Elephant Herd Tours & Safaris guide and transported to your accommodation. After a welcome drink in the beautiful and bird-rich gardens of the guesthouse, you will have 2 to 3 hours to unpack and relax before we collect you for an unforgettable one hour experience with Africa's gentle giants, the African elephant or for a fun-filled afternoon on an aerial cable trail gliding over the tree canopies along the Sabie River. The evening will be spent at leisure. There is a restaurant on-site where you will be able to enjoy your dinners. Day 2

Kruger National Park Safari

Your safari to the Kruger National Park starts before sunrise in one of our open safari vehicles, allowing you to view animals from a higher vantage point and a perfect panoramic view. Your guide will use his expert knowledge to help you search for and find the iconic animals in the park whilst interpreting the natural environment during the drive. You will have a brief stop for breakfast at around 8:30 am to enjoy the individually packed breakfast packs that your guesthouse will have provided you with, which you will be able to enjoy at a rest camp or a picnic spot along the planned route for that day. There will also be a lunch stop should you wish to purchase a lunch snack from the restaurants inside the Kruger National Park or stretch your legs. You will return to your guesthouse at around 3:30 pm in time for a refreshing drink or a dip in the pool at your own leisure. Day 3

Transfer to Luxury Lodge

You'll enjoy a leisurely morning and breakfast at your accommodation in Hazyview. Mid-morning, you will depart for the transfer to the luxury lodge in a private game reserve. You will arrive in time to enjoy lunch, unpack, and perhaps refresh in your private plunge pool. Late afternoon, you will head out on your sunset safari with a sundowner drinks stop in the heart of the bushveld, where you can enjoy a drink and some traditional South African snacks whilst we watch the Sunset over the African bushveld. Your dinner will follow under the stars overlooking the river after the safari. Day 4

Timbavati Private Game Reserve Experience

Expert Rangers and a dedicated hospitality team will ensure that your stay at the luxury lodge is truly memorable. Each day begins with an early morning safari game drive. In the late afternoon, you'll head out on another game drive and return after dark, offering you exhilarating night game drives as well! Optional bush walks may be offered after breakfast/brunch. Depending on the season, an example of your experience will look something like this: 5:30 Wake-up call. 5:45 Coffee and a light breakfast. 6:00 am: Depart on morning game drive. 9:00 to 10:00 am: Return to the lodge. 10:30 am: Breakfast/brunch. 11:00 am: Optional bushwalk. 2:00 pm: Tea and a light lunch. 4:00 pm: Depart on afternoon game drive and night drive. 7:00 to 8:00 pm: Return to the lodge, followed by drinks at the bar and dinner. Day 5

Morning Safari & Transfer to OR Tambo International Airport

After your final morning game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred to Hoedspruit Airport for your flights to your onward destination. We got to see all of the big 5 animals with our guide in Kruger, who was dedicated to finding amazing animal encounters. We had several experiences where it was just us and maybe one other car because our guide spotted the animals or got us to the location where an animal was spotted quickly.
