Day 1
Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve
You will start with an early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or Nairobi International Airport. Then, after a briefing by one of our representatives, your journey starts towards the floor of the Great Rift Valley, traveling via the Central Highlands tea plantations. First, you will have a brief stop at the viewpoint and photo session of the magnificent Great Rift Valley and Mount Longonot. Then, proceed with your journey to your camp in the Masai Mara in time for lunch. After lunch, you depart for afternoon game drives until sunset, then return to your tented camp for dinner and overnight. The reserve is well known for its black-maned lions and abundant wildlife. This is one of the few places where it is possible to see the Big Five during a morning game drive. Many cheetahs are so tame that they seek shelter from the hot sun under vehicles. Several even climb onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey! Day 2
Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you will embark on a full-day game drive on the vast plains of the Masai Mara National Reserve and enjoy a picnic lunch. The Masai Mara is an all-year destination characterized by rolling plains of grassland savannah with a high concentration of game in this part of Africa. You will have a chance to spot lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, hyenas, buffaloes, antelopes, baboons, and a wide variety of wild birds. In the Masai Mara National Reserve, you can quickly see 4 of the Big Five members. The reserve is known for the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope between July and October. A visit to a Maasai village (at a minimal extra cost) is encouraged because it offers a direct connection to the traditional way of life of the Maasai community. In the evening, you return to your tented camp for dinner and overnight. You may opt for a balloon safari with a champagne bush breakfast at an extra cost and, after that, have a full-day game drive. Day 3
Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, you depart from the Masai Mara National Reserve and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. You will arrive in time to check in and have lunch at the lodge. Lake Nakuru National Park is well known for its large population of lesser and greater flamingos and concentration of wildlife. The flamingoes, of course, have always been the main attraction. At times, almost 2 million of them may be in residence, forming a stunningly beautiful deep-pink band along the lakeshore. In addition, the park is rich in birdlife, with over 400 species across 188 km2. After lunch, you proceed with an afternoon game drive in the park, and if you are lucky, you will see 4 members of the Big Five. You will also see a variety of other game. It is also a rhino sanctuary, harboring a population of more than 40 black and 60 white rhinos. Day 4
Lake Nakuru - Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you will check out and depart for Amboseli National Park, passing through small towns and villages. You will arrive at Amboseli National Park in good time for check-in and lunch. Amboseli National Park is well known for its large herds of elephants and the backdrop view of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. After lunch, you will embark on an afternoon game drive until sunset, then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Amboseli National Park is situated south of Nairobi. Most of the park consists of a dry, ancient lakebed and fragile grassland with patches of acacia woodland. However, in the southern area, there are several small, rocky, volcanic hills. Around the Ol Okenya, Ol Tukai, and Enkongo Narok swamps, the vegetation is lush with yellow-barked acacias and phoenix palms. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge. Amboseli Full Day
After an early breakfast, you'll embark on a full-day game drive in Amboseli National Park. You will explore different areas of the park, searching for wildlife and enjoying the unique landscapes. Keep a lookout for elephants roaming the plains, as Amboseli is famous for its large herds. You'll take a break for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the park, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. You'll continue your game drive in the afternoon, venturing deeper into the park to spot more wildlife and enjoy the breathtaking views. You'll witness the stunning sunsets that Amboseli is known for, as well as the view of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, before returning to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation. Day 6
Amboseli National Park to Nairobi
Rise early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit. You will have an early-morning game drive, then return to your camp for a mid-morning breakfast and to check out. Despite its changing habitat, Amboseli National Park is the best place in Africa to see elephants up close. Elephants feeding and bathing in the swamps form the highlights of any safari! Then you depart for Nairobi, making a few stops en route, and arrive in the afternoon. You may extend the tour by adding a beach holiday to Diani, Mombasa, or Watamu. You will have your packed lunch before being transferred to the airport to check in for your international flight home. You can be sure that you will have many fond memories of the safari.
