Day 1
Durban to Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve
On arrival in Durban, you will be met and collected for your road transfer to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park. The park is about a 3-hour drive from the airport. You will be staying at the only privately owned lodge in the park, Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge. Depending on your arrival time, you will be able to join your first afternoon shared game drive. Day 2
Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Drives
Wake up before dawn for the morning game drive, starting at sunrise. Savour a hot coffee and an early-morning snack before boarding the safari vehicle and departing the lodge in search of animals. Spend 3 hours traversing the bush and looking out for wildlife before they retreat to the shelter of a tree in the heat of the day. After returning to the lodge for a delectable hot breakfast, you’ll have time to relax and unwind, surrounded by serene African wilderness. Lounge at the pool, delve into a captivating book, have a blissful nap, or simply soak up the sights, sounds and scents of nature. Afternoon tea is served before your next game drive, departing around 3:30 - 4:30 PM, depending on the time of year. Enjoy a sundowner stop in the bush, returning to the lodge with a spotlight to catch sight of nocturnal animals. Dinner is served before you settle in for the night to the symphony of the wild. Day 4
Hluhluwe-iMfolozi to Thonga Beach Lodge
Head out on a final morning game drive in search of the last remaining animals that have eluded you. Following a delicious breakfast, depart the lodge by road transfer to Thonga Beach Lodge. Thonga Beach Lodge is a secluded lodge where you can take in the scenery and head to the beach or go for a paddle on the lagoon. IsiMangaliso Wetland Park
The main attraction of Thonga Beach Lodge is swimming in the warm sea and relaxing on the beach, but they also offer a number of activities, such as snorkeling, guided nature walks, kayaking and sundowners at Lake Sibaya. Take advantage of all they have to offer to make the most of your visit to this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
