5.0/5My safari with bushcraft exceeded my expectations. Uganda has a lot more to offer than Gorillas. In addition to Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking I finally finished my big 5, thanks to the outstanding spotting skills of my guide and driver "sir" Allan Smith who found the missing leopard and got me close enough for nice pictures. Organisation with bushcraft was perfect in every step - from being super helpful in creating a fitting itineray, than adapting it to my requirements, than being very flexible with adjusting starting dates and finally when i wanted to add another day. Price to performance ratio was excellent - so i can really highly recommend them as a company. A special tribute to my guide and driver "Sir" Allan Smith - he was an excellent driver, on and off road, stayed concentrated on our sometimes excessively long daytrips. Small issues with the car (tire change) he handled by himself, without problems. He was always looking out for me, open to my wishes, elpful also with private things like getting a simcard, very solution orientated and excellent in placing the car during the gamedrives or while on road, so i could make wonderful pictures. I felt very safe with him. He was very knowledgable about wildlife and an excellent spotter, so i saw and learned a lot from him on that trip. But he was also an exceptional nice companion, we had great conversations about lots of things, he was always very friendly and in a good mood, so it was a total pleasure to do the trip with him. Overall 10 out of 10 and i highly recommend Bushcraft and Allan if you consider a Safari in Eastafrica.

We would give more stars to Bush Craft Safaris if we could! We took a 3 day Uganda/Rwanda tour that included Golden Monkey Trekking in Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, as well as some local sights & sounds in Kigali. Overall, it was a trip of a lifetime! Planning: Planning was a breeze with Innocent at the helm. He was quick to respond via whatsapp, working with us closely to understand our preferences. He went the extra mile to make sure our permits were secured even when one of the people in our party ran into personal issues and it was not clear if they would be able to join us. One thing we really liked is Innocent & team sending us screenshots of various permit and accommodation bookings giving us the peace of mind that everything was being set up and organized well. I wish more tour operators did that! Payment was also safe and transparent - sending a large sum of money internationally can be scary, but Bush Craft had a secure, modern, online payment gateway which we could use to pay via credit card. They were also flexible enough for us to clear any remaining balances during the Safari During the Safari: Allan was an incredible driver and guide. He was an expert naturalist (knew all the birds in the area!), an excellent driver (made us feel safe while driving through foggy mountain roads!), and a great conversationalist. Allan was there to help us at every step of the way - ensuring we got porters at the Bwindi trek, making sure our meals at the accommodations were good, making adjustments to our itinerary based on our energy levels. At the end of the 3 days, Allan felt more like a friend we were meeting after a long time! Dealing with unexpected events: Unfortunately, our airline lost our bags and our checked bags never reached Kigali International Airport. Upon hearing this unfortunate news, the Bush Craft team sprung into action - helping change our itinerary so that we could go back to Kigali the next day to get our bags without compromising on any of our planned excursions. Innocent went the extra mile to constantly call Rwandair to ensure our bags were routed to us correctly. Allan had to drive multiple extra hours to help shuttle us back and forth from the airport to make sure we could retrieve our bags. We are very thankful to the Bush Craft team for being supportive and flexible! Overall Experience: Both Rwanda and Uganda are fantastic countries! They are safe, filled with natural beauty, and feel like paradise on earth! Meeting the Mountain Gorillas up close is a life-changing experience. You will not go wrong in handing Bush Craft Safaris the opportunity to make this a trip of a lifetime for you

Bush Craft Safaris put together a very nice 2-day trip to Lake Mburo on a very short notice - less than than 72 hours before departure! Allan was a wonderful knowledgable driver and guide, and a enthousiastic companion with many entertaining stories, both on the road and in Lake Mburo National Park. We enjoyed our game drive and spotted many birds and mammals. The sudden heavy rains on the second day threatened to disrupt our itinerary. But Allan and Bush Craft Safaris clearly discussed all the options with us and did a good job to make sure everything was according to our wishes. Thus, we enjoyed going on the Lake Mburo boat trip and even walked with the giraffes on a short but interesting game walk. We defenitely recommend taking this trip with Bush Craft Safaris.

The entire process with Bush Craft Safaris was seamless. Innocent was very responsive throughout the entire booking process. He was willing to accommodate any changes I made, and to work with our schedule. Our driver, Alan, was very friendly and kept the entire trip entertaining. He picked us up on time and made sure we were always informed on what to expect. The jeep was very comfortable and we were able to relax and enjoy the drive. The safari itself was amazing! My husband and I both loved the private environment and all the animals we were able to see. It was such a beautiful environment and amazing to see 4/5 of the big five in their natural environments. This safari included a private boat tour on the Nile, which was so much fun and was very relaxing. Overall this was an incredible experience and I couldn't recommend it enough!
