The drive will take you around 3 hours arriving with en-route game drive for lunch at the Camp. Have lunch as you enjoy some relaxation time and the breathtaking views of the savannah just near the poolside. I and other teachers working in Rwanda, we booked a trip to Akagera National Park with Umurage Eco Safaris, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the initial planning to the drop-off, everything was handled with the utmost professionalism. Our driver guide, Gerald, was exceptional. His knowledge of the park’s ecosystems and his ability to spot wildlife including the Big Five was incredible. He was patient, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best sightings while prioritizing the safety and comfort of the group. If you are looking for an authentic and seamless safari experience in Rwanda, I highly recommend Umurage Eco Safaris!

We had an excellent experience with Umurage Eco Safaris for our gorilla trekking tour in Rwanda. Communication before the trip was clear and helpful, and the team made sure we had all the information we needed in advance. On the day of the tour, they picked us up on time and everything was handled professionally from start to finish. The service was reliable, friendly, and well organized, which made the whole day feel smooth and stress-free. Our driver was professional and made the journey comfortable. The gorilla trekking experience itself was truly unforgettable. Seeing the gorillas in their natural environment was a special moment, and the tour was worth every bit of the cost. I felt the service, organization, and overall experience offered great value for money. I highly recommend Umurage Eco Safaris to anyone planning a gorilla trekking trip in Rwanda.

Jophride from Umurage Eco Safaris organized a perfect tour of Rwanda for us. The highlight was, of course, the encounter with the gorillas, but the visit with the chimpanzees and countless other encounters also fascinated us. Gerald was a perfect driver—safe, calm (even in the thick fog), and knowledgeable. We experienced sobering moments at the Genocide Museum, and not to forget the deeply uplifting moments visiting the projects of the Future4kids aid organization! Thank you, Jophride, for all the insights into your home country! (automatic translation from German)
