Following afternoon tea, set out at 4:00 pm for your first game drive, searching for the Big Five lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros roaming the expansive savannahs. The Maasai Mara forms part of the Mara-Serengeti Ecosystem, famous for its annual migration of over a million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras, all moving in search of greener pastures. Your experienced driver-guide will lead you across the open plains, pointing out not only the Big Five but also gazelles, giraffes, and other wildlife. This extraordinary ecosystem is considered one of the natural wonders of the world. At sunset, return to your camp for dinner and overnight stay, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the Mara. Day 3
Start the day with an early wake-up call and a warm cup of Kenyan tea, coffee, or any hot drink of your choice just request it the night before. At dawn, set out on a sunrise game drive across the Maasai Mara, as the first light spills over the savannah and wildlife begins to stir. Each morning offers new surprises; no two drives are ever the same. Predators may be seen at a fresh kill, making an early start truly worthwhile. After a few hours of exploring, drive back to camp (game drives typically involve 2–4 hours of driving within the park), observing grazing animals before the midday heat drives them into the shade of acacia trees and thick bush. Spend the rest of the morning at leisure, enjoying the rich flora and fauna surrounding the camp. After afternoon tea, head out for another game drive, searching for wildlife you may have missed earlier. As dusk settles over the plains, return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay, soaking in the sights and sounds of the Mara. Day 4
Start your day with a delicious breakfast before driving to Lake Naivasha (approximately 2 hours), a freshwater lake that supports a rich array of wildlife. Along the lakeshore, you may spot giraffes, hippos, and waterbucks, while bird enthusiasts can record over 100 species, including African fish eagles, great white pelicans, and the colorful Fischer’s and yellow-collared lovebirds. Enjoy a boat trip to Crescent Island, the partially submerged rim of an extinct volcanic caldera, where giraffes, buffalo, and numerous birds roam freely. Later, explore Hell’s Gate National Park, a 68-square-kilometre landscape of dramatic cliffs, gorges, and geothermal features. Here, you can walk or cycle among impressive herds of buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and various antelope, and with luck, even spot elephants or lions in the distance. Return to your lodge or camp for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay after a full day immersed in Kenya’s natural beauty. In the afternoon, embark on an exciting game drive across the park, where you can observe elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife in their natural habitat, all set against the stunning backdrop of Kilimanjaro. Beyond its iconic elephants, the park is rich in wildlife, including buffalo, black rhino, zebra, wildebeest, and a variety of plains game. Begin your day with an early morning game drive before breakfast, when the park is cool and wildlife is most active offering excellent opportunities to capture stunning views of Kilimanjaro. During the dry season, herds of elephants gather along the Tarangire River, creating unforgettable wildlife encounters. After lunch, continue your journey to Serengeti National Park (approximately 4–5 hours’ drive / 180 km), renowned for its vast open plains, the Big Five, and the world-famous annual migration.
