Day 1
Arusha National Park, Walking Safari, Momela Lake and Game drive
Your safari begins with a morning pick-up directly from your hotel in Arusha. Meet your professional driver-guide and head straight to Arusha National Park, a hidden gem nestled at the foothills of Mount Meru. You will experience a thrilling 1-hour walking safari accompanied by an armed park ranger, allowing you to view giraffes, zebras, and antelopes at eye level and visit a stunning natural waterfall. Afterward, enjoy a game drive exploring the rugged Ngurdoto Crater and the scenic Momella Lakes, home to thousands of pink flamingos and rare black-and-white colobus monkeys. A delicious picnic lunch and mineral water are provided to keep you refreshed throughout the day. In the evening, drive to your accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay. Canoeing on Lake Momella is available as an optional activity for an extra cost. Accommodation upgrades are also optional for an extra cost. Tarangire National Park, Giants Elephants Herds & Baobab Trees
Depart from Arusha after a warm breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park, famed for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. You will spend the day enjoying rewarding game drives along the winding Tarangire River, a vital freshwater source that draws thousands of animals including zebras, wildebeests, and majestic lions. A picnic lunch and refreshing mineral water are included to keep you energized. In the late afternoon, you will leave the park and drive to Karatu town for dinner and an overnight stay at the comfortable Marera Valley Lodge. Optional cultural activities, are available as an optional activity for an extra cost. Accommodation upgrades are also optional for an extra cost. Ngorongoro Crater Exploration, A Journey into Africa's Eden
After an early breakfast at Marera Valley Lodge, descend 600 meters into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. This intact volcanic caldera forms a unique, self-sustaining ecosystem teeming with wildlife. You will have an excellent opportunity to spot the iconic "Big Five," including the rare black rhino, heavy-maned lions, and massive bull elephants. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch and refreshing mineral water by the resident hippo pool. In the afternoon, you will ascend the crater and begin the drive back to Arusha. The tour concludes with a convenient drop-off at your hotel in Arusha town. A cultural visit to Maasai Village on the way back to Arusha town it will be part of our tour offer. This was our second time using Tanzania Songbirds Safaris. Isreal and Daudi didn't disappoint. They were so knowledgeable about the animals and land. The walking section definitely made the day perfect. Lunch at the lake was amazing and were the views. I appreciated our game driver's cadence for stops. We had a ton of great sightings and close encounters.

You will not be disappointed when you book with Tanzania Songbirds Safari. The operators are generous with their time, knowledge, and care. Our team of 8 was attended to like family and it made a fabulous safari even more magical! We visited Arusha National Park, where we saw animals from the vehicle AND walked among them. Being on foot for safari in this beautiful land is a must if you have the opportunity! From start to finish, Israel was attentive and helpful. Israel is caring, considerate and great spotter!
On my first trip to Tanzania I went on two Safaris. My experience w this tour group was amazing! Professional and caring are just two words to describe this company and the leaders who run it. We had an orientation the day before. Our driver was fantastic and also a great spotter! Israel was our guide and did a great job finding animals. He was full of information about the park and the wildlife we encountered. I will be back in Tanzania next year and will definitely hire this company for any and all expeditions and tours.

A must do experience!
We did a single day safari in Arusha National Park with Israel and Daudi as our guides, I’m sorry to say that I cannot remember our drivers names but that’s not because they weren’t exceptional I’m just bad with names. The entire team was top notch! On the drive to the park they asked us questions to get to know us, including what animals we would love to see, and once in the park both the guides and the drivers were so good at spotting animals and remembering which animals we really loved and pointing them out. This was my favorite safari experience and I will be booking with them the next time I’m in Tanzania!
