You'll be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
Day 1
JHB Transfer to Hazyview & Kruger Park Sunset Safari or Elephant Interaction Program
Guests will depart from OR Tambo International Airport with a shuttle service or arranged private transfer. On arrival in Hazyview, you will be collected by an Elephant Herd guide and transported to your accommodation at a 4-star guesthouse. After a welcome drink in the beautiful and bird-rich gardens of the guesthouse, you will have about 2 hours to unpack and relax before we collect you for your first safari with your dedicated guide. The guide will spend the next 3 days with you in Kruger National Park. On this relaxed afternoon safari, you will get a sneak preview of what you can expect from the bushveld, alternately, enjoy a 1-hour Elephant Interaction Program if the sunset drive is unavailable. You will return to your guesthouse early in the evening after your safari. Your dinner transfer will be waiting at the scheduled time to take you to a restaurant of your choice, (dinner at your own cost). Day 2
Full Day Kruger National Park Safari
Your safari to the Kruger will start before sunrise in one of our open safari vehicles giving you the opportunity to view animals from a higher vantage point and a perfect panoramic view. Your guide will assist you to search for and find the iconic animals in the park as well as interpreting the natural environment. You will stop at various lookout points, waterholes and rivers to increase your chances of seeing as many of the fauna and flora that the park has to offer. You'll also see the breathtaking scenery of the different areas of the park. We will stop at one of the rest camps where you will have a chance to stretch your legs and enjoy the breakfast packs supplied to you by the guest house. There will be lunch break should you wish to purchase a lunch snack or simply stretch your legs. Return to your guesthouse late in the afternoon, in time for a sundowner drink at the pool. Day 3
Morning Safari & Transfer to OR Tambo International Airport
One last time, you will rise before the sun and set out for your final morning safari. This will be your last chance to find the animals that you haven’t checked off your list yet. There will be breakfast packs provided by your guesthouse for you to enjoy at one of the picnic spots or rest camps. You will take your luggage along with you on your drive in order to maximize your time in the park. After leaving the park at around 11h30, you will be transferred to the shuttle pick up point where you will depart to your next destination. We got to see all of the big 5 animals with our guide in Kruger, who was dedicated to finding amazing animal encounters. We had several experiences where it was just us and maybe one other car because our guide spotted the animals or got us to the location where an animal was spotted quickly. Everything was prompt and professional. Communication was great. Highly recommend!
