Day 1
Pickup in Kigali will be followed by a guided city experience, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a deeper understanding of Rwanda’s history. After the visit, you depart the city and enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside toward Musanze, with views of rolling hills, local communities, and rural landscapes along the way. Day 2
Early morning transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning the gorilla trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park. After spending time observing the gorillas, you will return from the forest and later visit the Ellen DeGeneres Gorilla Fund Campus to learn more about conservation efforts and ongoing research. Day 3
You begin the day with a visit to Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village, where you will experience traditional Rwandan culture through performances, storytelling, and community interaction. You will continue the journey with a scenic drive through the Bigogwe countryside before arriving at Lake Kivu for relaxation and lakeside views. Day 4
You'll enjoy a relaxed morning by Lake Kivu, with time to take in the scenery or walk along the shoreline.
