Day 1
Your journey begins with a 7:45 am transfer from O.R. Tambo Airport to Hoedspruit, a charming town just outside Kruger. Here you will get to enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch, we’ll board an open safari vehicle and head towards Orpen Gate of Kruger National Park. The excitement builds as we embark on a leisurely game drive from the gate to Satara Camp. Keep your eyes peeled for your first Kruger wildlife sightings, as the park’s diverse flora and fauna unfold around you. Satara, situated in Kruger’s vast grasslands, is known for its abundant grazing animals, from wildebeest to zebras, attracting predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas. This makes it one of the best places for predator sightings, earning it the title of "Predator Capital of Kruger." We’ll arrive at Satara just after sunset, where you can unwind and enjoy the camp’s peaceful ambiance. While you settle into your accommodations, our chef will prepare a delicious dinner for you to enjoy under the African sky. Day 2
We begin at sunrise, heading out in our open safari vehicle to explore areas known for high animal activity. Kruger is home to the legendary Big 5—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—as well as more species of large mammals than any other African reserve. With some luck, today might bring magical sightings you’ll never forget. After an exciting early drive, we stop at a scenic picnic site where your guide will serve a delicious bush breakfast with a view. Then it’s back to camp for a bit of rest and relaxation—swim in the pool, stroll the camp grounds, or simply soak up the atmosphere. Lunch is freshly prepared at camp before we head back out for a thrilling afternoon safari. As golden hour sets in, we return to Satara, where your chef will prepare a traditional dinner over an open fire. Tonight, you’ll dine under the stars before setting out on a Kruger night drive, searching for elusive nocturnal animals like leopards, hyenas, porcupines, and honey badgers. Day 3
After breakfast, we say farewell to Kruger and begin our scenic journey along the Drakensberg Escarpment. Our first stop is the charming gold rush town of Pilgrim’s Rest, where history comes alive in its preserved buildings. Then it's on to Graskop for lunch (own expense) before visiting the famous God’s Window, with sweeping views over the Lowveld. We’ll continue to the dramatic Berlin and Lisbon Falls, perfect for photos and soaking in nature’s beauty. The highlight of the day is the breathtaking Three Rondavels viewpoint in the Blyde River Canyon—one of South Africa’s natural wonders. By late afternoon, we arrive at Forever Resort, where you’ll settle into a private chalet with two bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms. Dinner is prepared by our chef and served at your chalet, creating a relaxed and exclusive end to a day full of natural beauty and cultural discovery. Day 4
This morning, we’ll take you on a short but unforgettable hike along the lush slopes of the Blyde River Canyon. As you walk through the vibrant indigenous forest, keep an eye out for some of the region’s most beautiful and rare bird species—this area is a birdwatcher's paradise and a peaceful way to connect with nature one last time. After the hike, we return to the resort for a hearty breakfast, enjoyed with scenic views of the canyon around you. Once you’ve had time to relax and soak in the surroundings, it’s time to pack up and prepare for the journey home. At around 11:00 am, we’ll meet your transfer team for the comfortable drive back to Johannesburg. x Enjoy the views as you descend from the high escarpment and reflect on the incredible memories of your private safari experience. You’ll arrive back in Johannesburg at approximately 5:00 pm, refreshed, inspired, and carrying unforgettable stories from the African wilderness. At the beginning of November, we went on a three-day private safari with overnight stays at Skukuza Camp in Kruger National Park. The entire organisation and handling with Thale in advance was perfect, and we also received tips on how best to continue our journey in South Africa after the safari. We received an absolutely all-inclusive package. A transfer service in Johannesburg took us from the airport to Hazyview. There we met our guide Eric and the cook Keygi. We liked them both right from the start and they made us feel that we didn't have to worry or take care of anything. And that's exactly how the next few days went. We were treated to incredibly delicious food and saw fantastic wildlife in the park. Eric has been doing this for almost 20 years and was able to answer all our questions. We saw the Big Five within 1.5 days and much more. Wild Planet Safari offers an unforgettable experience with its all-inclusive service (transfer, accommodation, game drives and shared meals). We were able to concentrate fully on the animals and nature as we didn't have to worry about anything else. We can only recommend everyone to book a private safari here. If we ever get the chance to visit this beautiful place again, we will definitely book with Wild Planet Safari again. Many thanks to the entire Team.

We booked a 4-day safari with Wild Planet, and Eric made it the most wonderful experience. He was a great safari guide, the best cook and we appreciated the time with him very much. He gave us so many great moments and a lot of infomation; we saw the magnificent seven and are just so grateful. After such intense and wonderful days together, it was really hard to say goodbye. But we will come back, and in the meantime, we will recommend Wild Planet Safari (with Eric) to all our friends. Thank you so much for this incredible experience, Eric. We are glad to have met you.

We had a wonderful time touring Kruger National Park with Wild Planet Safari. We did an extended north to south tour and our guides, Eric and Ryan were great. Hope was our cook and his meals were wonderful! Thale took care of all the administrative details and was wonderful to work with. We hope to be able to do this again in the future!
