Day 1
On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you are welcomed by our professional safari driver–guide. After a briefing, the journey begins eastward through Rwanda’s rolling hills, bustling roadside markets, and banana plantations, heading toward Akagera National Park (approx. 2.5–3 hrs). Upon entering the park, you immediately sense the change in landscape — from Rwanda’s lush highlands to open savannah dotted with acacias and scattered lakes. Check in at Ruzizi Tented Lodge, an intimate eco-camp tucked away on the shores of Lake Ihema. The lodge offers beautifully designed canvas tents, each with private en-suite facilities and a deck overlooking the lake. A freshly prepared dinner awaits, often accompanied by the sounds of hippos grunting in the background. Luxury tented camp located inside Akagera NP (Rwanda) Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 2
After breakfast, set off on a morning game drive across Akagera’s diverse landscapes. The open plains and wooded savannah are home to elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebra, lions, hyenas, and a variety of antelopes such as impala, topi, and oribi. Your guide will skill fully navigate game tracks, stopping for photography as you take in the richness of the park. After several hours of exploration, return to the lodge for an early lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a safari boat on Lake Ihema. From the gentle waters, you will spot pods of hippos wallowing, crocodiles basking along the shoreline, and elephants cooling off by the reeds. Bird enthusiasts will enjoy sightings of African fish eagles, kingfishers, herons, and colourful bee-eaters. The tranquil pace allows you to soak in the sunset light and enjoy Akagera’s diversity from a new perspective. Day 3
After an early breakfast, set off on a scenic drive southwest toward the Cyanika or Katuna border to cross into Uganda. The journey showcases Rwanda’s famous terraced hillsides before blending into Uganda’s patchwork of tea plantations, valleys, and forested ridges. Continue toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in the southern Rushaga sector. The park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is renowned for its mist-covered mountains and rich biodiversity. Check in at your lodge —Rushaga Gorilla Camp — offering stunning views of the forest canopy and comfortable rooms blending rustic charm with modern amenities. Lunch is served overlooking the hills. The afternoon is spent at leisure, allowing you to unwind after the journey. You might opt for a guided nature walk around the lodge.. Mid-range lodge just outside Rushaga (Bwindi Impenetrable NP, Uganda) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 4
Rise early and enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading to the Rushaga park headquarters. Here, Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers provide a detailed briefing on trekking guidelines and gorilla behaviour. With your walking stick, join your trekking group and venture into Bwindi’s thick rain forest, aptly named “impenetrable” for its dense vegetation and rugged terrain. The trek can range from 2 to 6 hours depending on gorilla movement, but the effort melts away the moment you encounter the gorilla family. You will spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants as they forage, groom, and play. The close interaction is unforgettable — a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife encounter. After trekking, return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, take part in a Batwa cultural experience. The Batwa, the original forest dwellers, share stories of their traditions, showcase dances, and demonstrate survival skills like fire-making and hunting with bows. Mid-range lodge just outside Rushaga (Bwindi Impenetrable NP, Uganda) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 5
After breakfast, begin the return journey to Kigali (approx. 4–5 hrs, including border crossing). Upon arrival in Kigali, enjoy a city tour (timing depends on departure flights). Possible highlights include: • Kigali Genocide Memorial: a moving museum and garden dedicated to remembrance and reconciliation. • Kimironko Market: a bustling market with crafts, fabrics, and fresh produce. • Inema Arts Center: a hub of contemporary Rwandan creativity. A farewell lunch is arranged in Kigali before transferring to Kigali International Airport for your Departure. All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

5.0/5The Trip was organized by Dagiz Travel to the Kidepo Valley National Park. Dagiz travel organized the entire trip to include transportation, meals and accommodation. Dagiz travel transport was spectacular; the car was confortable with a fully installed power supply system to charge phones, laptops and any kind of portable electronic devise. The car itself had an open roof which allowed for a grandeur view of the Kidepo Valley National Park with all its creatures and features in a safe and confortable space. The Driver and the Dagiz travel crew were hospitable offering drinks and meals during the travel (which were part of the paid for package). The travel to Kidepo Valley was quite long, but the hospitable crew made the journey interesting and bearable. For our accommodation, Dagiz travel booked us into Katurum Lodge in the Kidepo valley National Park. The accommodation was marvelous as it had a magnificent view of the Kidepo Valley National Park; not to mention the Sun Rises, the Sun Sets and the Clear Skies of the Kidepo Valley which only added to the splendor of our stay. The Katurum Lodge is a refurbished hotel, with a rich heritage having been constructed on and from the Katurum Rock... In the wee hours of the night, you can hear the Lions Roar from Katurum Lodge; and wake up to birds singing and Monkeys to disrupt your stay :) ... I loved the accommodation Dagiz Travel chose for us. It was a beautiful Lodge; with very good customer care; not to mention the camp fire which crowed our stay at the Lodge. Oh did I mention - the moon to escorted us throughout our campfire - there was that too... Dagiz travel Kept time and ensured we maximized our visit in the Northern part of Uganda by ensuring we visited the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary; which was along the route to the Kidepo Valley National Park and had the chance to visit a Karamojong community and got to experience the Karamojong culture. Because there was so much to experience, we were far to spent on time, and didn't get to visit Fort Patiko in Gulu which was part of our itinerary :(. I really loved this trip and cannot quantify the monetary but only say - thank you Dagiz travel for organizing this trip. I am looking forward to the next trip you will organize... My first trip with you was a bang, and I hope and believe the next ones will continue to blow me away.

Our trip to norther Uganda in kidepo national park was amazing, our itinerary was well organized to accommodate our needs. Our accommodation was beautiful in the center of the park, the game drive was very comfortable and much enjoyable with the open roof van. Our driver was very professional and helpful this trip was worth every penny plus we got to see the best sunrise in Africa.

Under the vast African sky in the Eastern part of Uganda, I embarked on a journey that would forever etch the beauty of Sipi Falls, Uganda, into my heart. The rugged terrain welcomed us as we set out on a guided trek to explore this hidden gem. Our first stop was at the base of the first waterfall. The sheer power of the cascading water mesmerized me, and the cool mist enveloped me like a refreshing embrace. As I gazed upwards, the sight of the water plummeting down, surrounded by lush vegetation, left me in awe of nature's grandeur. Continuing our hike, we navigated through winding paths that led us to the second and third falls. Each one was a unique spectacle, revealing its own character and charm. The second fall, framed by towering cliffs, seemed to emerge from the very heart of the earth. The third, a delicate veil of water, contrasted with its surroundings, creating a tranquil atmosphere that invited contemplation. Dagiz Travel provided an exceptional and immersive travel experience, combining expertly guided tours, comfortable accommodations, and seamless logistics for a memorable journey,, knowledgeable tour guides and diverse itinerary offerings.
