Day 1
Nairobi/Masai Mara National Reserve
Your driver-guide reports to your hotel for the start of the safari, with a departure for a picturesque drive descending the Great Rift Valley and onwards to the Masai Mara, Kenya's famous game reserve. Stop briefly en route at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to enjoy the stunning views of an enormous valley system said to be visible from outer space. You'll arrive in the Maasai Mara in time for lunch. After lunch, you will have an afternoon game drive, which will allow spotting of the magnificent wildlife in the park. The reserve is known for providing excellent predator sightings thanks to its relatively large population of lion, cheetah, and leopard. Bordering Tanzania, the Mara is in the northern extension of the Serengeti and forms a wildlife corridor between the two countries. Day 2
Full-day in Masai Mara National Reserve
You will be taken on two game drives today, one in the morning before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon. Early morning and late afternoons are considered the best times to spot animals as they are most active. To get some of the best game viewing of the day, an early start is needed to beat the heat of the sun. This is the time that the big cats are most active and can provide some of the most dramatic photography, thanks to the beautiful lighting. This is a bush experience that will surely create lifetime memories. An optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost. You'll return to the camp for a mouthwatering breakfast. Your guide will then take you to the nearby Masai village, where you will get a chance to see the Masai way of life (optional). You'll return to the camp for lunch before setting out for an evening game drive. Return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 3
Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, you will depart from the Mara through the Maasai plains and the Mau escarpments into the floor of the Rift Valley. You'll arrive in the flamingo-fringed Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. You will embark on a comprehensive game drive of this scenic park, including visits to viewpoints which offer superb photo opportunities. Lake Nakuru is one of several Rift Valley lakes, and its ecosystem supports a wide ecological diversity, with Flamingos (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds being the major attractions of the area. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals, including the white rhino and buffaloes and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species. Day 4
Nakuru - Amboseli National Park
You will depart early in the morning after breakfast towards Amboseli National Park with lunch en route. Your guide will take you on an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is synonymous with two particular things — majestic herds of elephant and glorious views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa, Amboseli National Park is one of the most popular parks in Kenya. One of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up-close. On a clear evening, you can catch a view of the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro. Day 5
Explore Amboseli National Park
This being a full day in the Amboseli, you will have the option of a full day game drive or morning and afternoon game drives. Amboseli is home to great herds of elephants, and with the backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro, it is a favorite spot for photographers. Also to be found in the Amboseli are herds of wildebeest, buffalo, gazelles, and many other wildlife. Lions and cheetahs can also be seen here. During clear days, you may also view the Majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, which is the tallest mountain in Africa. There is also a chance to visit the local communities in their nearby villages. At the crack of dawn, you will embark on your concluding game drive followed by a leisurely breakfast. You'll check out for a return road transfer to Nairobi. Commitment and service delivery at its best!
We took a 6 day safari covering Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru & Amboseli national park. The tour was well planned by Charles and executed by Jared our guide. We managed to see all the big 5 both in Mara and Amboseli among other predators and grazers. We also saw hippo and crocodiles at Mara river. Jared knew the best routes to warrant sighting of of the wildlife. His sense of humour was amazing and he was always patient with us. Salina Wild Adventures did a commendable job. Highly recommended.
