Day 1
Your guide will pick you up after breakfast at your hotel, and you will be driven in comfort in a 4x4, pop-up vehicle from Nairobi to the lovely Mara Conservancy. The drive will take you through the amazing scenery of the Great Rift Valley with stunning panoramic views, and the diversity of various Kenyan towns and villages. You will pass through the city of Narok, in Narok County, a center of Maasai culture. The terrain becomes increasingly rural, evolving into the savannah, leading to the Mara. You will arrive at the Mara North Conservancy in time for lunch, viewing wildlife along our route to Karen Blixen Camp. After lunch and a short rest, get ready to enjoy an afternoon game drive. Luxury tented camp located inside Mara North Conservancy (Greater Masai Mara) Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 2
After morning tea or coffee, you'll leave the camp at daybreak to enjoy a beautiful sunrise and watch the animals stirring in the morning light. After a couple of hours, you will have breakfast in the bush. A highlight will be a visit to the hyena center, where you will learn about the different hyenas, their complex social structure, and the critical role they play as both scavengers and skilled hunters. After lunch and a rest, an afternoon game drive will bring more stories to tell. Plans for the nocturnal game drive are being made. In the darkness, the sounds of the animals are enhanced, as is the anticipation of spotting wildlife. The cats and hyenas also hunt at night. If you are lucky, you will see the elusive striped hyena, which only comes out at night. Aardwolves, aardvarks, caracals, and owls are also nocturnal creatures that might appear in the darkness. Luxury tented camp located inside Mara North Conservancy (Greater Masai Mara) All meals included All drinks (Premium wines & liquors might be excluded)
Day 3
Choices for Day 3 include morning and afternoon game drives, taking in new animal activities, and chances for amazing photos and videos. Or you could choose, for extra cost, to enjoy a balloon safari in the early morning, travelling above the Mara to see the beautiful landscape, the herds of animals, and finally landing in the Mara for a spectacular champagne brunch. Another exciting option is a horseback ride to view wildlife up close from the unique perspective of horseback. This can be arranged by your guide and provides for another fascinating and memorable experience. The animals allow the horses to get quite close. If the nighttime is your time, we can arrange another nocturnal game drive. Luxury tented camp located inside Mara North Conservancy (Greater Masai Mara) All meals included All drinks (Premium wines & liquors might be excluded)
Day 4
You'll depart your camp after breakfast, and take in a beautiful game drive on our way out of the Mara and on to beautiful Lake Nakuru. This amazing place is often referred to as the Pink Lake, due to thousands of flamingos. The drive itself is an interesting change of terrain from the savannah to lush farmlands and small towns to the bustling city of Nakuru and the beautiful lake. After checking in at your lodge and having lunch, an afternoon game drive will reveal rhinos, flamingos, Rothschild giraffes, monkeys, and numerous waterbirds. Luxury lodge located inside Lake Nakuru NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 5
After breakfast and a brief game drive, your journey will take you to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The drive is scenic, traversing the Great Rift Valley, transforming into hills and plains. There is plenty of opportunity to view various towns and see their differences. The terrain becomes more rugged as you approach Ol Pejeta. Ol Pejeta was transformed in the 1980s from a cattle ranch to a wildlife conservancy, famous as a rhino sanctuary. In 1993, a chimpanzee sanctuary was established, as well, which you can visit. It hosts the last northern white rhinos. The diversity of wildlife continues with reticulated giraffes and Grevy zebras, as well as all the favorites. After lunch and rest, you will have your afternoon game drive, and prepare for your nocturnal game drive, where you will hope to see more nocturnal creatures and big cats hunting. Night time is when you will see hippos grazing out of the water, and the scenery comes alive with new sounds, new and familiar creatures, and hunts. Luxury tented camp located inside Ol Pejeta Conservancy (Laikipia Plateau) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 6
Ol Pejeta has an interesting and extensive anti-poaching squad. There are numerous activities. You can choose to interact with the anti-poaching dogs and their handlers, including hiding bullets for the dogs to find and hiding yourself to be tracked! Another fun activity is a horseback ride with the rhinos. You'll spend time with experienced horses and guides viewing the rhinos and other wildlife from horseback. A trip to the SweetWaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, associated with Jane Goodall, is a fascinating visit. Find out why the sanctuary is in Kenya, where chimpanzees are not indigenous. Each chimp has a name and a story. And of course, the daily game drives, where no two drives are the same! If you are lucky, you might see wild dogs, which have become rare after a virus decimated the population years ago. You may choose to go on another night game drive for one last chance! Luxury tented camp located inside Ol Pejeta Conservancy (Laikipia Plateau) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 7
Following breakfast, you will have a farewell game drive through Ol Pejeta as you begin your journey back to Nairobi. The trip through Lakipia County is peaceful and beautiful with rolling plains, and as you continue toward Nairobi, you'll descend again toward the Great Rift Valley, with spectacular views of beautiful Kenya and great photographic opportunities. A stop in Thika to view the beautiful waterfalls and have lunch will soften the realization that your wonderful safari is coming to an end. There are number of waterfalls to visit, with the option to have a picnic lunch for extra cost. Finally, you'll return to Nairobi. We will happily drop you at the airport or a hotel. Hotel accommodations can be arranged for you at extra cost to rest before your flight or to spend the night. We are sure that you will be left with memories of the trip of a lifetime! Breakfast (Lunch & dinner not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

5.0/5The team was very professional when they met us. They gave recommendations on the best circuit to take in order to get the most out of the experience. We got to see 2 of the Big 5 at Maasai Mara even though we were on a tight schedule on other business. David has a wide array of knowledge about animals, hotels and Maasai culture, which was welcome. He was great to hang out with. I would ride with those guys again.

We had a wonderful experience with Brighte Masai Adventures! The guides were accommodating, knowledgeable and meticulate with every detail making this a wonderful trip we will remember for the rest of our lives! The itinerary was well thought out and we saw dozens of different kinds of animals, impossible to count all the different species! What a gift to have been able to take this safari with Brighte and our guides Alpha and David were the best and very fun to hang out with as well.

This was my first safari experience, and I was impressed by Brighte Maasai all around. The guides were excellent and customized the tour to our schedule and preferences. Every night they would give us a couple of options for the following day, so we were able to make small adjustments on the fly, depending on weather, energy levels, etc. There was a great atmosphere the whole time - highly recommend.

I’m a biologist and the safari trip was top of my bucket list. Visiting the Mara changed my life - can’t say enough how amazing it was to be where humanity began and large animals roam free. I checked with other companies but was impressed with Bright Maasai from the start because it is small and Maasai owned. Good communication, range of experiences and prices, and they let us customize a tour to Kisumu and Lake Victoria and then on to see the last bits of relic rainforest near Kakamega. At our request, Dickson also arranged for us to visit a local elementary school, where we provided some basic scientific equipment for the students and then had a hoot chatting up some of the most adorable kids I’ve met in a while. We had a group of 4 adults (and two expert guides at all times), which was perfect for the Land Cruiser. Vehicle had all the extras - pop up top for photographing, plugs for charging electronics, radios and safety equipment, hard windows for our city trips, and our guides knew how to drive that beast on and off the trails. Great guiding and animal spotting - our dude Dickson was so good he even spotted our lost iPhone in the middle of the Mara grass, while driving. Pro-tip: Pay extra for the off road permit so you can drive right up to where the animals are. Your guide will get a hefty fine if you don’t have that permit - so don’t pressure your guide to follow the other vehicles driving off track. Just pay for the permit. I most appreciated Brighte Maasai’s custom service, individual attention for our group and our preferences, comfortable accommodations (glamping in the Mara!), tasty food tailored to our various dietary restrictions (our group included a vegan, a gluten avoider, and a severe nut allergy). Ask for it how you want it and just go- it will be the trip of a lifetime.
