After meeting you at Windhoek International Airport, we will depart for the beautiful Kalahari savannah of southern Namibia. We will drive for about 250km and arrive at our lodge in time to settle in and enjoy lunch before departing for an afternoon game drive on the private reserve. Animals like springbok, oryx, red hartebeest, black-backed jackal, porcupine, steenbok, ostrich and many more inhabit the acacia and grass savannah that cover the red sand dunes of the Kalahari Desert. This will be the perfect introduction to the beauty of the southern section of Namibia. Luxury lodge located near Mariental (Town) All meals included Drinks not included

Day 2

Quiver Tree Forest and Canyon Park

After a relaxing breakfast, we will continue southwards and after visiting the Quiver Tree Forest and Giant’s Playground near Keetmanshoop, we will arrive at our lodge in the Gondwana Canyon Park close to the Fish River Canyon. The Quiver Tree (Aloe dichotoma) is a symbol of Southern Namibia and several hundred of them can be seen growing together. They live up to 120 years. After a quick lunch and settling in, we will depart for an afternoon sundowner drive within the reserve. Besides looking for game like oryx, springbok, kudu, klipspringer, mountain and Burchell’s zebra that inhabit the park, we will also learn about the geology of this fascinating area. Our lodge is situated just 20km from the Fish River Canyon and horseback rides in the park can be organised on request. Day 3

Fish River Canyon

After enjoying a great night’s rest and a big Namibian breakfast, we will use the morning to explore the fascinating Fish River Canyon. It is the second biggest canyon in the world after the Grand Canyon in the United States and is one of Namibia’s biggest attractions. After returning to our lodge for lunch and a short break, we will do an afternoon game drive in the park or alternatively, we can do a morning walk in the park. Visit the canyon in the afternoon and have time for a quick walk to watch the sunset with a sundowner drink in your hand. We will again stay in the same lodge as last night. Sperrgebiet and Aus

Day 4

Sperrgebiet and Aus

We will be up early today and do a very short drive to a higher location to watch the sunrise with a cup of coffee in our hands. Watching an African sunrise is a truly unforgettable experience. We will return to the lodge for breakfast. Shortly thereafter, after checking out, we will continue our safari in a westerly direction towards Aus and Luderitz enjoying the ever-changing landscape as we drive. At this point, we will be close to the Orange River which forms the border between Namibia and South Africa as well as the restricted diamond area called the Sperrgebiet. Our lodge for the next two nights is situated in the Sperrgebiet Park and within the Aus Mountains offering great views over the surrounding plains. We will enjoy a late afternoon scenic drive within the reserve. Mid-range lodge located near Aus (Town) All meals included Drinks not included

Lüderitz, Kolmanskop and Wild Horses

Day 5

Lüderitz, Kolmanskop and Wild Horses

We will have the full day to explore the surrounding attractions which include Lüderitz, Kolmanskop and the Wild Horses of Namib. Lüderitz is the only other “big” town in the south except for Keetmanshoop. We will visit Diaz cross (erected in 1488 by Portuguese explorer Bartolomeu Diaz) and also enjoy lunch at one of the seafood restaurants overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Kolmanskop is an old deserted mining ghost town with a fascinating history. It was started when diamonds were discovered in 1908 and deserted in 1930 when diamond mining around Kolmanskop ended. On our way back, we will definitely visit the Garub water point where we have a great chance of seeing a few of the famous Wild Horses of the Namib. You will also learn more about where they originated from as we make our way back to our lodge. Mid-range lodge located near Aus (Town) All meals included Drinks not included

Day 6

Aus and Off to Sossusvlei

We will be up early and after breakfast, depart for a half-day tour of the surrounding desert landscape. You will learn about the fauna and flora as well as the geology and history of the area. We will be a lot further west and closer to the Atlantic Ocean and it is fascinating to see how the landscape and wildlife have changed during the last few days. Alternatively, we can organise to do a hiking trail in the beautiful Aus Mountains. After lunch, we will depart for Sossusvlei, driving through the NamibRand Nature Reserve with its spectacular scenery along the way. We will arrive at our lodge near the entrance gate to Sossusvlei by late afternoon. Later, enjoy a great dinner and early night in preparation for our early start to Sossusvlei tomorrow. Sossusvlei and Swakopmund

Day 7

Sossusvlei and Swakopmund

After an early breakfast and coffee, we will depart for a morning excursion to Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei. We will stop at the scenic Dune 45 along the way and spend a couple of hours at both Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei. Some of the dunes in the area are a few hundred meters high but the view from the top for those that dare is one you will never forget. After lunch, we will depart for Swakopmund via the Namib Naukluft National Park. We will spend the night at a guesthouse and have dinner at one of the top restaurants in Swakopmund. Please note that dinner tonight is not included in the package price and is at your own account. This is where our Southern Namibia safari ends and we would happily extend and continue northwards and include Damaraland and Etosha. We can also help organise a few extra days in Swakopmund to explore and do the extra activities. Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinks not included

Mind blowing experience

Nature Travel Namibia exceeded our expectations in every way. Right from the beginning, communications were excellent regarding itinerary planning and realised very quickly we were in the hands of true travel professionals. The consultant prepared a fantastic itinerary at short notice to suit our budget and we had a brilliant and very memorable birding trip around Namibia for 16 days. We travelled with a clued up bird guide who drove us very safely the whole 4,475km journey. The guide was extremely hard working, diligent and patient with us with a good sense of humour. All the lodges and camps selected ranged from nice to beyond beautiful. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nature Travel Namibia and we will be back to do it again one day.

A comfortable and well-organized Namibia tour and Safari

We organized the tour of Namibia, the safari, next stops at Victoria Falls and Chobe through e-mail exchanges. Mrs Petra was attentive to our requests and able to adapt her proposal to our preferences. She understood what we wanted and helped us to turn a dream into reality. It was amazing! The guide, Marcel, she is an excellent driver. She knows the areas very well and we didn’t miss any opportunity to see animals and experience fun adventure. she is positive, communicative and respectful of customer’s space. The transfers and accommodations were well organized. We can say it was unforgettable holiday because of landscapes, animals, contact with nature, confort and good vibes!

Beyond Expectations: A Journey of a lifetime with Joram, the best guide ever ❤️

From the moment our adventure began, Nature Travel Namibia delivered an experience that was nothing short of exceptional. Every detail—from the seamless logistics to the thoughtfully curated itinerary, which included all our special requests—reflected their commitment to excellence and genuine passion for travel. Communication with Pepi was very smooth throughout. Joram, the BEST GUIDE EVER, was wonderful from the moment he picked us up at the airport and remained exceptional throughout the entire trip. He was not only highly knowledgeable but also warm, thoughtful, engaging, and incredibly attentive to the needs of our family. His local insights added depth to every stop, turning each moment into a story worth remembering. The accommodations, meals, and activities were all top-notch, striking the perfect balance between comfort and authenticity. The app that allowed us to follow the itinerary—from Windhoek through Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Twyfelfontein, and finally the breathtaking Etosha—was very handy. We especially loved the Tug Restaurant in Swakopmund, and each lodge had its own unique personal touch. The state-run ones within Etosha were more crowded, but still enjoyable. Namibia is such a wonderful country—it truly felt like we were part of a David Attenborough documentary. What truly set this experience apart was the personal touch, thanks to Joram, who took such amazing care of us that saying goodbye was genuinely emotional. I wholeheartedly recommend this operator to anyone seeking an unforgettable travel experience. Thank you for making this trip extraordinary!

Nature Travel Namibia organized a fantastic 14 days tour in Namibia for the 2 of us.

Nature Travel Namibia organized a fantastic 14 days tour in Namibia for the 2 of us. Everything was professionally done and the selection of lodges was superb. Nadine managed to get a small celebration form my wife's birthday as well. Our guide, Stewart Matsoto made the experience even better with his good knowledge of the country and the nature. I strongly suggest to organize your next tour or safari with Nature Travel Namibia.
