This 7 Days Uganda Wildlife, Gorillas and Chimpanzees Safari will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking, Kalinzu Forest Reserve for chimpanzee trekking. Day 1
Pick up and Transfer to Kibale National Park with an Afternoon Swamp Walk in the Bigodi Wetlands
After your early morning breakfast, you will be picked up by a Likyadi Adventures guide and start your journey to Kibale National Park in Fort Portal through the tea plantations and rolling hills to reach Fort Portal town. While in Fort portal you will have an en-route lunch before proceeding to Kibale National Park. After checking into the lodge, you will embark on a guided swamp walk in the Bigodi wetlands, and you have a chance to spot 138 bird species and some primate species. After the walk, you will embark on a community tour near Kibale National Park, where you will learn how coffee is processed locally, ready for consumption. You will also visit Rest in Bananas, where you will see how the Banana Man makes different products from bananas. Afterward, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 2
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with an Evening Game Drive in the Kasenyi Plains
After your morning breakfast, you will head out for a vanilla farm experience in the community around Kibale National Park. On this tour you will be able to see how vanilla is taken care of right from planting, weeding, harvested and processed. After return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch you will check out of the lodge and start the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive at the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park in the afternoon where you will check in and relax. You will go for an evening game drive in the Kasenyi plains where you will see different animals such as lions, Elephants, leopards, water bucks, Uganda kobs among others. Day 3
Morning Game Drive in the Kasenyi Plains and Afternoon Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel
You'll have your breakfast very early in the morning and depart for an early morning game drive as early as 6 am in the Kasenyi plains in Queen Elizabeth National Park. While in the park, you will look out for wildlife such as lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, and many others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge and get some rest, relax as you wait for lunch. After lunch, you will go for a 2-hour afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel, where you will have a chance to spot elephants, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species. Day 4
Chimpanzee Trekking in Kalinzu Forest Reseve and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After your morning breakfast, you will head to the Kalinzu Forest Reserve where you will embark on a chimpanzee trekking experience in the reserve. During this trek you will have an opportunity to see other primates species and many bird species. You will spend one(1) hour with the chimpanzees after finding a group. After the chimpanzee trekking in Kalinzu Forest, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park while enjoying the scenic views of the country side. You will have a lunch stop where you will have hot lunch and you will continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will arrive at the lodge where you will check in to the lodge. Day 5
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After the early morning breakfast, you will proceed to the UWA visitors’ reception, where a briefing is done before trekking at 7:30 am about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Remember to carry your packed lunch and enough drinking water since you may stay in the forest up to the afternoon in search of these gentle giants in their natural environment. Gorilla trekking exercise is physically demanding but an exciting activity! You may need to hire a porter to assist you during trekking, and these are readily available at the park headquarters. You'll spend 1 hour with gorillas when you have found them, and this is enough to ask all the questions about their behaviour. You will awarded with a certificate after the trek. After the trek, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxing. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge. Day 6
Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park with an Evening Game Drive in the Park
After breakfast, you'll depart from the lodge at Lake Bunyonyi and head to Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest Savannah National park in Uganda. You will reach the park in the afternoon for lunch. After that, you will check into the lodge. You will then have an evening game drive where you will encounter wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, impalas, common elands, buffaloes, and waterbucks, among others. After the evening game drive, you will return to the lodge for an overnight stay and dinner. Guided Morning Walking Safari and Transfer to Entebbe International Airport
After your morning breakfast, the game rangers will take you for a guided morning safari where you will go close to the animals such as zebras, impalas, common elands, waterbucks, among others, for a unique wild experience. After, you will have a morning game drive as you exit the park and set off to Entebbe International Airport. Along the way, you will have a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for memorable photos and the famous water experiment that shows that the Earth is separated into the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. You will have a chance to enjoy both hemispheres. You will have an en-route lunch. You will continue your journey to Entebbe International Airport.
