Day 1
Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be welcomed by representatives of Mamasavana who will brief you on your safari before transferring you to Eka Hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure with optional activities. In the evening, a team from Mama Savana Safaris will meet you for a special welcome African. Dinner will be at the hotel with some local music to entertain your evening. Your overnight stay is at Eka Hotel. Day 2
Lake Nakuru National Park
Early in the morning, wake up and have a game drive on the way to Lake Nakuru, considered the home of flamingoes. Have a stopover at Nyahururu to admire the Thomson Falls before proceeding to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge. In the afternoon, have a game drive to view and enjoy the numerous pink flamingoes present in the lake, black and white rhinos among other water-loving animals. The final spectacle is at the viewpoint “Out of Africa” a unique place positioned to witness the splendid African sunset before getting back for dinner and your overnight stay. Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast at your lodge, you will drive towards Masai Mara National Reserve, the land of the Maasai. The warriors who tend their herds of cattle among the wildlife, admirably unmoved by the presence of large predators. Arrive in time for lunch at Mara Sentrim Camp. Depart for an afternoon game drive in search of wildlife. Masai Mara is one of the best parks in the world for its magical nature. Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy a full day dedicated to game drives in this spectacular game reserve, all with superb photographic opportunities. Apart from the seasonal migration, game viewing is excellent all year round. The game includes: - elephant, black rhino, buffalo, wildebeest, Burchell’s zebra, hartebeest, various antelopes and gazelle, lion, leopard, giraffe, elephant cheetah, hippo, crocodile and much more. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as they existed a century ago. Today you might opt to visit a Maasai Village (price not included) for a very special cultural experience. See how they interact with modern society and the way they use local plants in ceremonial and medicinal ways. Serengeti National Park
After your breakfast in your camp, drive towards Kenya/Tanzania border enjoying your last game drive. You'll be dropped off at the border at 1:00 pm, where you will exchange your vehicle and drive to Serengeti where you will enjoy a sundowner game drive. Serengeti National Park
Have a full-day game drive through the Northern corridors of Serengeti where the great migration is crossing the Mara River. Serengeti is perhaps the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. These vast, seemingly unending plains are inhabited during the migration by enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, impala, buffalo, birds and up to ten thousand elephants. Your overnight stay is at a tented camp. Day 8
Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast at the lodge, descend into the 100-square-mile Ngorongoro Crater to view game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor. The bottom of the crater is dotted with watering holes, which shelter almost 30 000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the slopes of the volcano. You will find the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard among others. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and is surrounded by very steep walls rising 610 meters from the floor. It is considered to be one of the Wonders of the Natural World and is a veritable haven for wildlife. Spectacular animal life can be found throughout the year due to the permanent availability of grass and water. Arrive for dinner and your overnight stay at Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge. Spanning 392 square kilometers, it is Kenya’s second most popular park, characterized by a unique ecosystem of dry lakebeds, sulphur springs, and lush swamps.
