Arrival and Transfer to Tarangire National Park
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by one of our experienced driver guides. After a brief introduction about your tour; you will be transferred to Fig tree Lodge. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses through the park, which is the only source of water for the wild animals here during the dry season. The park is famous for its large numbers of elephants, baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons. Day 2
Ngorongoro Crater
After a tasty breakfast, our driver-guide will pick you up at your lodge together with your picnic lunch and drive you to Ngorongoro Crater for wildlife viewing. Ngorongoro Crater is among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and one of the Seven Wonders of Africa and the most incredible ecosystems on earth, formed millions of years ago in the massive explosion of a volcano. It is about 610m deep and covers roughly 260 sq. km. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25,000 species, In a matter of minutes, you will be able to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area. With a little bit of luck, you might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhinos. Once you finish the game drive, we will drive you back to Kilimanjaro Airport.
