Your adventure begins with a pick-up from Kigali for a scenic 2.5-hour drive to eastern Rwanda. You'll pass through picturesque rural landscapes before arriving at the entrance to Akagera National Park, a stunning conservation success story. After checking into your comfortable midrange lodge or tented camp, enjoy lunch with a view. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive. Head into the park's southern section, keeping your eyes peeled for elephants, giraffes, zebras, and a plethora of antelope. This initial drive sets the stage, introducing you to the beautiful mosaic of wetlands and savannah. Return to your accommodation for dinner, listening to the sounds of the African night. Wildlife Discovery & A Boat Safari
Today is dedicated to exploring the full diversity of Akagera. After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. Venture north towards the more remote and rugged sectors of the park, which offer the best chance of spotting Akagera's famous predators like lions and leopards, as well as the elusive rhino. The landscape transforms into rolling hills and vast plains. In the afternoon, trade your vehicle for a boat and enjoy a serene and unforgettable boat safari on Lake Ihema. Glide past massive hippo pods and enormous Nile crocodiles while watching elephants drink from the shore and identifying the park's rich birdlife. A Final Morning Search & Return to Kigali

This is your last chance to photograph the majestic giraffes or a herd of buffalo. After returning to the lodge for a hearty breakfast, it's time to check out. Begin your journey back to Kigali, reflecting on the incredible wildlife you've witnessed and the inspiring story of Akagera's revival.
