Day 1
Arrival at Tented Camp inside Kruger National Park
Your 3-Day Nkambeni Tented Camp Safari departs daily from Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport. You must be at the OR Tambo bus terminal by 6:45 AM, with departure promptly at 7:00 AM. Once you have booked your Safari, we’ll send through full instructions for a smooth start. You will travel East, enjoying scenic views of rolling farmlands and beautiful landscapes en route to the Nkambeni Safari Camp inside a private concession within the Kruger National Park. You will make comfortable stops along the way, perfect for stretching your legs and buying snacks or refreshments before journeying forward. The estimated time of arrival in Hazyview is 1 PM, whereafter you will be transferred to the Safari Camp inside the park. Upon arrival, check in to your tented suite and take time to relax. At 3 PM, you'll hop onto an open-sided land cruiser for a thrilling 2.5-hour guided game drive. Nkambeni is inside Kruger, placing you close to the action. Day 2
Full-Day Game Drive in Kruger National Park
You'll start your morning with a warm cup of coffee or tea accompanied by rusks before setting out on a full-day game drive in the Skukuza area of Kruger National Park. A packed breakfast is included for your convenience. The Skukuza area is abundant in wildlife, and the elevated position of the 4x4 open-sided vehicle provides excellent vantage points. After your sunrise game drive, you will pause for breakfast. In addition to the breakfast provided, you can also purchase extra food items at the local shop. The game drive continues until lunchtime, which will be enjoyed at one of the park’s restaurants at your own expense. After a 45-minute break, we embark on an afternoon safari, further exploring the diverse wildlife. You will return to the chalets to unwind before a delicious dinner. The restaurant overlooks a water hole with resident hippos to entertain you. You will enjoy a buffet dinner or a traditional bush braai around the log fire in the Boma tonight. Return and Drop Off in Johannesburg
On the final morning of your 3-Day Nkambeni Tented Camp Safari, you’ll have the option to join another early sunrise game drive or enjoy a leisurely morning relaxing at Nkambeni. Please note that this sunrise game drive is optional and at your own expense. Nkambeni offers a large swimming pool and leisure area overlooking a water hole frequented by hippo and other wildlife, ideal for a relaxing morning. Just before 12 AM, Nkambeni will arrange your transfer to the shuttle pickup point in Hazyview. From there, you will travel back to Johannesburg with comfort stops along the way. The estimated arrival time at OR Tambo Airport is between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM.
