Arrival, Transfers & Elephant Interaction Program
A shuttle service mini bus road transfer will be arranged at a time to accommodate your flight arrival in Johannesburg or Nelspruit. Upon arrival in Hazyview, you will have time to settle in to your accommodation and acclimatize to the sub-tropical feel of Hazyview. You'll then be picked from your guesthouse for an introduction and to join us for an enlightening interactive elephant experience. Here you'll meet five magnificent African elephants and learn about their extraordinary behaviour and physiology, observing first-hand how the elephants have developed trust in the kindness and care they receive from the team. Visitors to the centre experience life-changing moments when they encounter the elephants. The Elephant Whispers Team work hard to translate this into an understanding of the need for long-term, sustainable wildlife conservation, and elephant conservation in particular. Kruger National Park Open Safari Vehicle Ultimate Game Viewing Experience
Game viewing from open safari vehicles in the Kruger National Park has to be one of the ultimate safari experiences in Africa. You can relax while relying on the skills of your highly experienced guide to ensure a truly authentic safari experience. An early morning start allows for sufficient time to appreciate an overview of this iconic destination. Elephant Herd guides will endevour to find all the wonderful treasures of the Kruger National Park including the Big Five. Our guides are dedicated and passionate about the bush and all it has to offer, from the over 500 bird species, 147 mammal species, 110 reptile species as well as the numerous bugs and insects. During the course of the day, our guides will visit a scenic picnic spot or one of the rest camps for a breakfast stop and/or lunch stop. This allows time for a meal and to stretch the legs before setting off to explore more of the African bush. Day 3
Kruger Park Morning Safari & Road Transfer to OR Tambo Airport
Once again an early start is in order to get the most out of the African bushveld. We will once again get to witness the sunrise over the Kruger National Park as we head off in search of the elusive species that evaded us the day before. Your guide will stop at around 08h30 offering you an opportunity to stretch your legs, enjoy a final breakfast in the bushveld, do some curio shopping and prepare for the last few hours of safari. We will slowly make our way back to the exit gates for an 11h30 departure allowing us ample time to get to the pickup point in Hazyview to meet the shuttle for your trip back to Johannesburg. We got to see all of the big 5 animals with our guide in Kruger, who was dedicated to finding amazing animal encounters. We had several experiences where it was just us and maybe one other car because our guide spotted the animals or got us to the location where an animal was spotted quickly. Everything was prompt and professional. Communication was great. Highly recommend!
