Day 1
Johannesburg to Madikwe Game Reserve
You will be picked up early in Johannesburg or Pretoria and enjoy a private transfer to Madikwe Game Reserve. The journey takes approximately 4.5 hours to the game reserve. You'll arrive at Buffalo Ridge Safari Lodge late morning. You'll settle into your luxury suite, relax, and freshen up before it’s time to depart for the late afternoon game drive. Game drives are in an open safari vehicle with a professional ranger. You'll return to the lodge after an exciting evening drive and enjoy a starlit dinner at the outdoor boma or in the lodge dining room. Morning & Sunset Safari in Madikwe Game Reserve
You'll wake up early for hot beverages and then depart for a 3-hour sunrise game drive. You'll return to the lodge for breakfast and spend the rest of the day relaxing on the wooden deck or in your air-conditioned suite. Be ready to depart after high tea for the late-afternoon game drive and return for dinner well after dark. Morning Safari & Departure
You'll wake up early for hot beverages and then depart for your last game drive in Madikwe. You will return for a hearty breakfast; pack up and be ready to leave midmorning for a private transfer back to Johannesburg or Pretoria. Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe
