Day 1
Your adventure kicks off with a 07:15 pickup from your Windhoek accommodation, whisking you to Chameleon Safaris for a thrilling pre-departure briefing. You'll journey west through the quaint towns of Okahandja, Karabib, and Usakos, arriving at the stunning Walvis Bay Lagoon - a Ramsar-recognised wetland paradise. Marvel at flocks of flamingos, pelicans & Cape fur seals, with dolphins and whales occasionally gracing the waters. Capture postcard-perfect photos as these pink-hued wonders feed on plankton, their vibrant colours a testament to Namibia’s rich coastal ecosystem. Continue to Swakopmund, a charming coastal gem founded in 1892, where German colonial architecture meets Atlantic Ocean vibes. Check into the centrally located Hotel A La Mer and explore at your leisure, opt for a scenic desert flight, adrenaline-pumping skydiving, or quad biking over the Namib dunes (book with your guide). Dine at one of Swakopmund’s world-class restaurants, soaking in the town’s unique ambiance. Mid-range hotel located in Swakopmund (City) Lunch (Breakfast & dinner not included) Drinks not included
Day 2
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Swakopmund; stroll the town centre or indulge in optional thrills like sandboarding at 60 km/h down dune slopes. Depart at 11:30, crossing the vast Namib gravel plains and tackling the dramatic Kuiseb and Gaub Passes. Pause at the Tropic of Capricorn for iconic photos before arriving at your desert lodge in the late afternoon. Unwind with a short sunset walk, watching the sun dip behind the majestic Naukluft Mountains. Accommodation: Twin share, en-suite bathroom. Meals: Lunch, dinner. Mid-range lodge located less than 1hr drive from Namib-Naukluft NP (Namib Desert) Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included) Drinks not included
Day 3
Rise before dawn for a magical start and enjoy breakfast on the go as you enter the dune fields at sunrise. Witness the Namib Desert’s dunes glow in shades of orange and red, a photographer’s dream. You will then venture to Sossusvlei, the ancient “end of the water”, and Dead Vlei, where eerie 1,000-year-old camelthorn trees stand against a backdrop of 300m-high dunes. Conquer giants like Big Daddy or Dune 45 for panoramic views, or explore the Sesriem Canyon, carved by the Tsauchab River over millions of years. Spot oryx, springbok, and desert-adapted creatures in this biodiversity hotspot. Accommodation: Twin share, en-suite bathroom. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner. 5.0/5Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe

Martin took us through the reserve to locate the animals. He answered our questions and taught us so many things about the big 5
Dayo · Australia
We had a very good time at the Dumela Tented Camp. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The guides on the game drives were really good. We had luck and could see many different animals.
Kerrin · Germany
Really enjoyable and informative tour which also included an eye opening tour of the poorer parts of Soweto. Our guide Thomas was excellent , very knowledgable about a number of key historical events . A top quality tour and highly recommended .
