Day 1
The moment you've been waiting for has finally arrived: this is when your Ugandan safari begins. After a few brief formalities and an introduction to your guide, you'll start this journey together and begin to discover all of the amazing animals, and the beauty that Uganda has to offer. At 7:00 am after breakfast, you'll start driving to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will make a few stops on the way for a lunch break and bathroom use. The journey is expected to take 8 hours. You will have an evening short game drive and then drive to the lodge for an overnight stay and dinner. Mid-range lodge located just outside Ishasha Sector (Queen Elizabeth NP) Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 2
In the morning after breakfast, you'll start driving in the Ishasha sector Isolated from the rest of the park, the Ishasha sector is famed for its population of tree-climbing lions. This behavior is unusual elsewhere in Africa, and it cannot be guaranteed here either, but the lions of Ishasha do take to the canopy with frequency (probably to avoid the attention of biting insects), and our experienced guide will make sure you check out all the specific trees they're known to favor. As you continue driving to your second lodging for lunch and refresh. After resting, you'll head out for an evening game drive in another sector of the park, you'll love the warm light and cooler temperatures as we take you out to explore your evening game drive. This time of day is when both predators and prey are most active, and it can feel as though anything could happen at any moment. This is when you'll most enjoy being on safari. You'll return to the lodge, have dinner, and an overnight stay. Mid-range lodge located just outside Queen Elizabeth NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 3
At 10:00 am, you'll check out and head out to the boat ride activity on Kazinga Channel. Boat trips on the Kazinga Channel are a wildlife viewing highlight of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You'll cruise past pods of grunting hippos, watch elephants and buffalo come down to drink, enjoy flocks of pelican and other aquatic birds, catch a glimpse of the snow-capped Rwenzori peaks, and keep an eye open for the giant forest hog, a local specialty. After the boat trip, you'll continue driving to Kasese town where you will have lunch, check in your lodge, and rest. You'll have an overnight as you prepare to hike Rwenzori Mountain the next day. Mid-range hotel located in Kasese (Town) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 4
The trek starts at Trekkers Hostel Kyanjuki 12 kilometers from Kasese town past Kilembe Copper mines. The best time to start by 8.30 am but can leave as late as 10 am. You'll meet your guides and briefing. You walk 2.2km to the UWA Rangers post at 1,727 meters. This is a relativity easy walk as you climb steadily through montane forest, with tall trees thick undergrowth, and a multitude of different species of birds and primates. Then a steepish climb up a ridge below Omusita Rest Spot where you join the trail coming down from Samalira Camp and this is the highest point of the walk at 2,373 meters. The forests are untouched and carry a variety of trees and plants. Many species of birds can be heard and seen in this rich environment. The first few kilometers climb steadily crossing small streams and rivers. Then, you'll branch off on your birding trail, within a few hundred meters from the turnoff. You will see bush pigs digging for roots and grubs in the undergrowth and along the path. All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 5
In the morning after breakfast, you will start driving to Entebbe at your lodge or Airport. You will have stops for lunch and bathroom use and later continue driving. The journey is expected to last 6/7hrs drive. Arrival at your lodge or airport marks the end of your safari, but we hope to have given you many fantastic memories that will live on long after you've returned home. You'll travel home safely, and we hope to see you again. Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinks not included

5.0/5My 3 days long safari in Murchison Falls was really great! The activities were balanced out perfectly with a short hike to see the waterfalls, game drives, a boat tour on the Nile, and the rhino tracking, which was my favorite! For me the strenght of safari was being able to see a lot of animals and stunning nature without having to be in the car all the time. The accommodations were super nice: confortable, clean and in beautiful locations. I highly recommend choosing Gatsio Safari as not only is it good value for money but you will also get a great service. Our guide Adams brought a lot of energy and created a good atmosphere in the group while Nickson managed my reservation answering all my questions, and supporting me with my requests, last but not least, he's also a very good hang. No reasons not to choose them!

I’m so grateful that Gatsio Safariz was able to accommodate my last-minute request to join a group safari to Murchison Falls National Park. The experience was simply unforgettable, and I didn’t have to worry about a thing—every detail was well taken care of by Gatsio Safariz. I highly recommend this tour operator, especially for solo travelers looking to join a group tour, even at the last minute!

He helped us a lot to buy our permits to see the gorillas. He's our angel :)

An unforgettable, amazing safari experience is just as much about the organisers as it is the animals. The team at Gatsio were next level brilliant. Flawless - from beginning to end. I felt so looked after by Benjamin during the planning stages of my trip. He genuinely cares, listens to what you'd like to have planned and then dedicates himself tirelessly to making sure all your needs are met. Communication was absolutely impeccable. The 3 days I spent alongside Vianne on my Murchison Falls trip were just incredible. I could've talked to him all day. Such a warm, personable and knowledgeable guide. I learnt so much. Loved every second of my trip. It is seriously impossible to go wrong with Gatsio Safariz.
