Day 1
Nairobi - Amboseli National Park
Our driver will pick you up from the hotel or the airport and transfer you to Amboseli National Park. You are expected to arrive at Ol Tukai Lodge around lunchtime. Check in, have lunch and proceed for an afternoon game drive in Amboseli National Park. In the evening, you will return to the lodge where you can relax in your room, spend time at the poolside, or catch a drink as you watch the sunset. Dinner will be served before your overnight stay. Day 2
Full Day in Amboseli National Park
Today you will have a full-day game drive in Amboseli National Park. Our driver will ensure that you see the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro from the viewpoint hill during the morning game drive. You will see and learn about animals like elephants, giraffes, and buffaloes. The bird lovers will encounter bird species such as the oxpeckers that ride on the elephants' backs as they get rid of the ticks. Later in the afternoon, you will have an interactive session with people of the Maasai community around the park and enjoy some dances as you learn a new culture (at an extra cost). Day 3
Amboseli National Park - Lake Nakuru National Park
On your third day, you will have breakfast at Ol Tukai Lodge, check out, and leave for Lake Nakuru National Park. You will have a lunch stopover at Nairobi for our meet and greet as we sample traditional African delicacies such as nyama choma and kachumbari (charcoal-grilled goat meat served with a salad made of chopped onions, fresh ripe tomatoes, and a garnish of coriander). Today, you will leave for the Masai Mara National Reserve. After breakfast at the hotel, our driver will transfer you to the Masai Mara, world famous for hosting the most significant animal migration. On arrival at Sarova Mara Game Camp, you will check in and have lunch. The Masai Mara is home to the Big Five and you will search for these exceptional animals out in the wild. Day 5
Explore Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you will have a full-day game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve. You can view as many animals as you can handle as there are thousands of bird and animal species to behold. Our expert driver-guides will ensure you get all the action as they provide more information on the various sightings, animal behavior and more. You'll get to experience a kill or two as the big cats venture out to satiate their appetite for game meat. As barbaric as those hunts may seem, the insightful wildlife lectures offer a glimpse into the role played by every little act in the food chain toward the conservation of our ecosystems and life as we know it. You will have a picnic lunch from the reserve at midday. You can have an optional hot-air balloon safari in the morning or visit the Maasai village to learn about their culture and language. I was referred to Arzoni Africa Safaris by a friend. My Canadian boyfriend informed me around June that he was planning to have spend a two weeks safari and beach relaxation in Kenya and Tanzania. Parks of his interest were Mara, Lake Nakuru, Samburu, Amboseli, Taita hills, Ol Pajeta and Lake Naivasha. Sam made our safari planning seamless and every request by my boyfriend and I were considered in the final itinerary. Overally, we had 10 days of safari and 4 nights in Zanzibar. The choice of accommodations was amazing and our expectations were met. Food was also excellent except in Elewana Tortilis (Amboseli) which were somewhat too spicy.
