Nairobi – Fly to Maasai Mara
Your safari begins with a transfer to Wilson Airport in Nairobi for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy breathtaking aerial views of the Great Rift Valley and the endless savannah plains as you fly into the Mara. On arrival at the airstrip, you will be met by your driver-guide and transferred to Mara Elatia Camp, your home for the next three nights. After check-in and lunch, relax before heading out for your first afternoon game drive. The Mara is world-famous for its spectacular wildlife, from big cats to elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and an array of plains game. Full-Day in Masai Mara
Wake up to the sights and sounds of the wilderness and enjoy breakfast at camp before setting out for a full day of game drives in the Masai Mara. The reserve is one of Africa’s richest wildlife destinations, home to the “Big Five” as well as cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, and countless antelope species. Your morning and afternoon drives will take you deep into the savannah, where you may witness dramatic wildlife encounters or spot predators on the hunt. In between, return to Mara Elatia Camp for lunch and relaxation, or carry a picnic for a full-day exploration in the bush. In the evening, return to camp for dinner, followed by time around the campfire sharing stories under the starlit African sky. Another Full-Day in Masai Mara
After breakfast, set out for another exciting day of exploration in the Masai Mara. With its vast plains, riverine forests, and rolling hills, every game drive offers something new. Today, you may choose to focus on different areas of the reserve, perhaps along the Mara River where hippos wallow and crocodiles bask on the banks. Expect to see more of the Mara’s incredible wildlife—herds of elephants, prides of lions, and if lucky, the elusive leopard. The diversity of birdlife is equally impressive, with colorful rollers, vultures, and eagles soaring above the plains. You can opt for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the bush or enjoy morning and afternoon drives with a break to relax at Mara Elatia Camp. Masai Mara – Fly to Diani Beach
After breakfast, bid farewell to the Masai Mara as you transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Diani Beach on Kenya’s south coast.
