Johannesburg to Kruger National Park
You will be collected up from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and driven to Dumela Tented Camp, for check-in to your glamping site around 2:00 pm. After some relaxation, you will depart around 3:00 pm in an open safari vehicle on a 3-hour afternoon sunset game drive in the Greater Kruger Blue Canyon Reserve. You'll get to see some famous animals, such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes, before returning to camp about 7:00 pm for a boma dinner under the stars and a tranquil night. Kruger National Park Safari
Your day may proceed in one of two ways: an early departure for Kruger National Park with a packed breakfast along the route and an earlier return, or having breakfast at the lodge first, departing and returning later. Your safari in Kruger will last about 7 to 8 hours, with chances of seeing all members of the elusive Big Five. You will return to the camp with ample time to unwind and get ready for a starlit dinner around the fire. Kruger or Panorama Route
You'll wake up early to be ready for a full-day safari into Kruger National Park and get to view a spectacular sunrise over the park. Your Kruger Park safari will last 7 to 8 hours, so you should be back at the camp with plenty of time to relax by the fire before dinner. Alternatively, you can choose a full-day Panorama tour that will take you along this iconic route, and witness the following landmarks: Berlin Falls, God’s Window, The Pinnacle, 3 Rondawels and The Blyde River Canyon. You will have dinner under the stars every night, sharing your experiences with others and making new friends. Day 4
Kruger to Johannesburg
On your last morning at the camp, you can go on a 1-hour bushwalk or you can choose an optional 3-hour sunrise drive for R1250 per person sharing, in the Blue Canyon Reserve. Before bidding your farewell to the Kruger, you'll have breakfast at your camp. Afterward, you will be driven back to Johannesburg and dropped off at a budget hotel to stay for the night. Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe
