Overview
You will experience the magic of the mighty Victoria Falls or as we call it the 'Smoke that Thunders' followed by a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. The next stop is in the heart of the African wilderness, South Luangwa National Park. You'll be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
Day 1
Livingstone - Maramba River Lodge
On arrival in Livingstone, an airport transfer will be waiting for you to take you to Maramba River Lodge. After settling in a road transfer will take you to your sunset cruise which includes a light dinner and local drinks. On the second day after an early breakfast, your transfer will take you to Mosi-oa-Tunya for a game drive and a short walking safari to see rhinos. Included in your itinerary for the day is a guided tour of Victoria Falls. The last day is a free day, you can arrange some activities with your host at your own leisure. Book a helicopter ride, or game drive, visit the Elephant Cafe, or swim in the Devil's pool. Your stay includes breakfast, accommodation, and three activities. Maramba River Lodge has a restaurant for your convenience. You can also enjoy different cuisines from restaurants in Livingstone. Please note airfares are subject to change. Day 4
South Luangwa National Park
Located in the heart of the African wilderness, you will experience the warm hosting of Msandile River Lodge. Each morning, you'll awaken to the gentle rustling of the surrounding wildlife. After breakfast, your guide will accompany you on a short boat ride through the hippo pods and crocodile sunbathing spots across the river into the park for our morning and evening game drives or guided walking safari led by experienced guides. You'll discover wildlife, from majestic lions and graceful elephants to elusive leopards and vibrant birds. In the daytime, you'll relax in the camp, and swim in the refreshing pool overlooking the river as nature soothes your soul. You'll soak in the stunning views with a cold drink from the bar. As the sun sets, the camp comes alive with an enchanting ambiance for evening sundowners around the crackling campfire. Finally, under a star-studded sky, you will retire to your chalet or tent, anticipating the adventures that await you in the days ahead. After having a very disorganized experience in Tanzania via another tour operator, we were happy that our accommodation/reservations looked as pictured and were on the dates we had asked for. The guide and wait staff were great. My food request for not eating fish was upheld and luckily there was only one snack that had mayonnaise, so I could eat almost all the food. The view of the Luangwa River at Thornicroft was amazing. We saw leopards, lions, and several other types of wildlife.
