5.0/5We booked a 3 day Akagera tour for 4 of us. Knowledgeable guide Vincent, organized, knew our priorities to also bird, accommodating, kept us comfortable and safe, and busy seeing the beauties of the savanah. Gorgeous accommodations, we had one night at Mantis hotel and one night ‘glamping’, both excellent and excellent food. Could have stayed longer to enjoy the savanah, and maybe see more. Great company to travel with, I would not question traveling with them again.

We absolutely loved our visit to Akagera National Park! Kingfisher Journeys did a fantastic job in putting together a package for our group that allowed us to experience the beauty and diversity of Rwanda. Every communication was prompt and everything was well explained. The accomodations exceeded our expectations. The staff were all amazing! We were treated with the utmost courtesy and respect. Our guide went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and taken care of. He taught us so much about the country, its people and culture, as well as the park and the animals. It was a wonderful experience from pickup to dropoff, and we would definitely book again in the future.

Where to begin? I can’t praise Kingfisher Journeys enough - our holiday to Rwanda was incredible! Olivier was our first contact and he helped us to choose the right type of holiday, answering all queries very promptly and professionally. He was very knowledgeable, courteous and exceptionally helpful. We loved our route around the country and all activities that we did - from chimpanzee and gorilla watching to kayaking and canoeing. We loved the cultural activities that we did too and the insights into local life. Cyprien was our driver and guide and was outstanding. Punctual at all times, calm and an excellent and safe driver. He shared stories about Rwanda as we drove and really made our holiday special. We thought the trip was very good value for money - so many activities were included as well as meals etc. All the hotels that we stayed in were a very good standard and the service in each was such a high level. I used to work in the travel industry and can honestly say that Kingfisher Journeys is up there with the best. I really could not fault them in any way. Credit where credit is due.

We had a fantastic 2 day safari in Akagera National Park with Kingfisher Journeys. We saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, crocodiles, buffaloes, hippos, loads of monkeys, antelopes, warthogs, and even a leopard! Our guide Isaac was very friendly and helpful and was amazing at spotting wildlife. I definitely recommend this.
