Your journey begins with a 05:00 AM pick-up from your Kigali hotel, followed by a scenic drive to Akagera National Park. En route, you’ll stop for a light breakfast before continuing to the park headquarters for registration and a briefing. At 09:00 AM, embark on a guided boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you’ll witness an abundance of birdlife as well as hippos and crocodiles basking in the water. Later, you'll rejoin your guide for a full-day game drive, where you’ll explore the park’s diverse landscapes, from rolling hills to lakeside swamps. Keep an eye out for elephants, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and predators like lions and leopards. You’ll enjoy a hot lunch at Lake Mihindi Restaurant. In the afternoon, the game drive continues as you traverse the park. By 5:00 PM, you will exit the park and begin your journey back to Kigali, arriving at your hotel or airport around 8:00 PM. Exploring Rwanda’s cultural roots was truly enriching! From the King’s Palace Museum to the Ethnographic Museum, every stop offered powerful insight and learning. I had the pleasure of experiencing it all with 49 students—and as a teacher, I found myself learning just as much. We wrapped up the day with a lovely lunch and great conversations. Our Tour started from Kigali, we went to Akagera N Park it was a wonderful experience we saw most of the big five : elephants, rhinos, lions ( alot of them thanks to the Tour Guide) , African Buffalo , we also did a boat ride saw different birds it’s was a wonderful experience
