Overview
Mikumi National Park was established in 1964 and originally covered an area of 1,070km2 (413mi2). In 1975, the park was expanded to its current size of 3,230km2 (1,247mi2). Located just north of the well-known Nyerere National Park, Mikumi is the seventh largest national park in Tanzania and is the most accessible park from Dar es Salaam throughout the year.

Day 1
Your driver will pick you up from your location at 4:30am and take you to the Dar es Salaam SGR Station. You will board an electric train to Morogoro Town, which departs at 6:00am and arrives at 7:50am. Upon your arrival at the Morogoro train station, you will meet your driver and begin the journey to Mikumi National Park, approximately a one-and-a-half-hour drive away. You will have breakfast in Morogoro Town before continuing the trip. Once you arrive at Mikumi National Park, you will embark on a game drive until lunchtime. After lunch, the game drive will resume and continue until 4:00pm. Following the game drive, you will head back to Morogoro to catch your train back to Dar es Salaam, which departs at 7:20pm and arrives in Dar es Salaam at 9:10pm. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your location. Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
