1-Day Mount Bisoke Hike in Rwanda
Overview
On this tour, you will hike Mt. Bisoke an extinct volcano in the Virunga Mountain and is the most popular mountain hiking experience in Volcanoes National Park. It stands at 3,711 meters on the Rwanda side with a crater Lake at the summit measuring about 400 meters. The hike takes approx. 6 hours however this is dependent on how often you stop. The hike is very rewarding with beautiful scenery and great views of the lush Virunga and Rwanda's hilly landscape.

04h30: You will be picked up with your packed breakfast by our driver guide and proceed to Volcanoes National Park arriving in time for briefing at the park headquarters which starts at 07h00. During the briefing you will be introduced to the park guide & ranger, safety tips and park guidelines. 08h00: Depart the park headquarters and head to the trail start for a hiking experience which takes approx. 6 hours as a round trip but depends on the walking pace. Hikers are recommended to carry enough water and snack and well as hire a porter to assist with the backpack or give a hand where the terrane is slippery. Later return, lunch at a recommended restaurant before driving back to Kigali. Lunch (Breakfast & dinner not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)

I had the chance to visit the Akagera Park with my family. It was an incredible and extraordinary moment to see. To see so many animals of different species in a landscape as beautiful as the akagera park I recommend it to everyone. Our tour guide was great with us, they gave us the name of each species we could see and explained to us how they live. On topar of that he was funny and professional. He was able to speak to us in English, Kinyarwanda and even a little French so that everyone could understand. It was a very nice day for us and I advise you. In addition to that quality/price levels are very reasonable.

Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he made us feel comfortable throughout the tour. The communication and service were great, and it was good value for money. He explained every animal in detail and even made sure we saw a lion before we left.
