Last month, my wife, my mom and I took a safari trip with One More Adventure Safaris and it was probably one of the best trips of my life! Right from the start, Fred Odyek did an amazing job in meticulously planning our trip to Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania. He booked the best lodges to stay and the best activities we should be doing during the trip. He welcomed us at the airport and gave us personalized bottles and goodies. Fred and his team of guides (Emmanuel, Charles and Apollo) were all incredibly knowledgeable and amazing! From gorrilla and golden monkey trekking in Rwanda to seeing The Big Five in Kenya and Tanzania, we had an incredible experience! Fred was so kind and sweet that he prepared a custom song for my mom's birthday and played it at the lodge we stayed at and also got her a custom birthday cake! Talk about the personal touch! Emmanuel hooked us up with the best guides in Volcanoes National Park who took us to see the biggest Mountain Gorilla family in the entire park - The Hirwa family of 19 gorrillas! After hiking for about 3 hours, we were right around this beautiful gorrilla family. We saw a silverback up close, his twins playing around and posing for us who then walked right by our feet, a 3 month baby, 4 of his wives and the list goes on! It was an incredible experience! The next day we got to see golden monkeys up close and it is amazing to see how golden some of them are! And this family of 175 golden monkeys decended from the mountain to greet us as we were about to climb the mountain to see them! So to see them in the open up close was amazing! To think that two of the rarest species are in the same national park is just surreal! Then, in Amboseli National Park in Kenya, with the sun about to set down and Kilimanjaro behind us, we witnessed one of the highlights of our trip when we witnessed live right in front of our eyes a Pride of Lions hunting a Dazzle of Zebras and successfully catching a baby zebra. That would not have been possible without Charles's amazing instincts, knowledge, driving skills and keenly listening to the radio so that we didn't miss out on any action! Same thing could be said when he got us on time to witness a Confusion of Wilderbeests (about 300-400 or so!) crossing the Mara River from Serengeti into Masai Mara! We actually got to see the most famous portion of The Great Migration! In addition to this, we also got to witness a valley migration of these wilderbeests. Charles was definitely our lucky charm! Speaking of lodges, we had amazing views of Lake Nakuru and Nakuru National Park at Sopa Lodge. At Mara Mara and Kubu Kubu lodges in Serengeti, we had the thrill of staying at luxury lodges where the shower had no ceiling and so it gave us an adventure of showering under the sky with animals possibly right outside. I mean a safari trip can't be better than that, right!? On Crescent Island in Lake Naivasha, walking with zebras, giraffes, ostriches, impalas, gazelles, and knowing that somewhere hyenas were sleeping was an experience that I will never forget! It was crazy to think that we were just walking for an hour from one end of the island to another with all these wild animals! And an ostrich really wanted my mom's purse and kept picking on it! The Hot Air Balloon in Masai Mara is a must! We got an amazing view of Masai Mara from above that gives you a beautiful aerial view of all these animals walking and running around the park. What was crazy was that before getting in the Hot Air Balloon, I asked the pilot what happens if Lions are right by where we land and guess what!? While we didn't have them right by where we landed, we did have a pride of young male lions just eating their breakfast Wilderbeest to the right side of where we had our breakfast post the Balloon ride and on our left were the hyenas waiting for the lions to be done with the wilderbeest! It was unreal that we were sitting right in the open eating our breakfast and enjoying champagne and these wild animals were so close to us enjoying their breakfast! It was like we shared our breakfast area with the Lions! How cool is that!? Well, as long as we didn't become their food! Serengeti was a bit disappointing for us because we didn't see much other than mating lions but we were glad to have seen all The Big Five animals (buffaloes, rhinos, elephants, leopards, and lions) in Masai Mara! What was amazing though was the beautiful reddish/orange African sunrise and sunsets here that we missed out on in Kenya because it was more cloudy everyday there than in Serengeti. The beautiful Blue Bay resort, Fred booked for us in Zanzibar was a nice way for us to relax after an amazing safari trip. I could write another whole page about this wonderful trip and how wonderful Fred and his team were but I think no amount of words will do enough justice to the experience they created for us. I highly highly recommend One More Adventure Safaris if you are planning a safari trip to these East African countries. Fred is amazing and he will 100% make sure that you have the best experience possible. We can't wait to come to Rwanda next time to do chimpanzee trekking and go to Ol Pejeta conservancy in Kenya for which we would not want to use anyone but Fred and his team at One More Adventure Safaris!

My review is for the hesitant traveller.. The one who likes their home comforts, who's maybe not so adventurous or out-doorsie, or who's only really agreeing to a holiday in Africa to full-fill a loved ones bucket list :) After 20 years of dragging my feet, my husband finally convinced me it was time to head to East Africa, specifically Rwanda, with 6 of the 18 days in Uganda also. He and Tour opperator Fred designed the perfect itinerary to meet the varied needs of myself, our 20 yearold daughter and 75 year old mother in law. Fred had every aspect of the trip outlined and tweaked well in advance, and organised all required permits we needed for each treck and national park, so there were no hassles for us when we arrived. Every place of accomodation Fred had arranged met all of our needs, with varying degrees of comfort to give us a different experience in each place.. And none challenged my need for home-comfort in a way that made me want not to be there, so job very well done! Each and every one was full of charm, gorgeous food and warm and friendly staff. For 18 days, we were escorted from door to door, by our fabulous guides in the comfort of a well stocked and spacious land-cruiser. Ben Alfa was our Rwandan companion, and Meddi was our Ugandan man.. Both guys were the perfect match for our family, and now we're home we are missing them both! .. Entertaining, knowledgeable of their countries and animals, skilled drivers, with the patience of saints.. No anoying request was declined :) They knew where all the good eateries and toilets were, found all the animals we wanted to see in the 5 national parks we visited, kept the land cruiser stocked with water juice and snacks for our hours on the road, and took super good care of our oldest lady to the point I think she wanted to adopt them ;) Every minute of our time was spent experiencing the breath-taking scenery and incredible wildlife, with some extra heart-filling experiences with the locals. Safari drives with elephants giraffes lions hyena a leopard, zebras buffalo's baboons warthog etc.. Amaaaaazing! Boat cruises to see crocodiles and hippos etc, with an extra special visit by a hippo in one of our camps :) Primate treks that will take your breath away.. A silverback called Mr Special, just casually brushing past our legs on the track before taking us to his family for gorgeous baby gorilla entertainment.. And a chimpanzee trek where we hung out with a mum and her baby just a couple of meters away! Golden monkey and Columbus monkey treks were gorgeous.. All experiences never to be had elsewhere. Museums, Canopy Walk, The Kings Palace, Azizi Life visit, Genocide Memorials, Tea and Coffee plantation visits, Hot-Air Ballon over Akagera National Park, Community and school visits, Bush Breakfasts and Sunset picnics.. Every single experience holds a special place in out hearts. I look back through our 1800 photos and question how on earth I let us wait this long to make this trip happen! Don't wait, life is short, and you will never regret booking your dream trip with Fred Odyek.. A man we learned early on we could put our full trust in. He'll take care of everything, pair you with the perfect guides, and make sure your experience is exactly what you want it to be.. We can't wait for our next adventure with One More Adventure :)

One more adventure safaris, did an amazing job organizing an adventure of a lifetime for 3 generations. 12 days in Rwanda with a great guide in Ben Alfa, taking in 3 national parks. Seeing a wide variety of animals, the cultural experiences, especially Azizi life, were incredible. Then 6 days in Uganda with Medi. (My mother wanted to adopt him. He took such good care of her) Fred did a great job arranging everything and keeping us informed each step. If you are after a high-quality, trustworthy company to arrange your trip, then look for One more adventure safari
