Day 1
Nairobi- Masai Mara
You'll be picked up from the airport or your hotel and leave for Masai Mara National Reserve. You will arrive in good time for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, embark on your first Mara game drive; tracking the various animal species and birds that inhabit here with your driver guide until sunset. Day 2
Full Day In Masai Mara
After breakfast, leave for a full day game drive carrying your packed lunch. Explore the incredible Mara wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek Rivers in Kenya. Witness the frequent amount of wildlife such as Maasai giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, topis, impalas, hartebeests and wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and hippos are also found in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal or surveying the plains for their next meal. The ultimate action here is, without doubt, the annual wildebeest exodus, the Great Migration. It happens in July and August when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October. Day 4
Masai Mara- Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, leave for Lake Nakuru National Park to arrive in good time for lunch and rest at your lodge. In the afternoon, you'll head for a game drive. You will get a great chance to explore the lakeshore of Lake Nakuru which is bound with a lot of bird species, lions climbing trees, and you will also spot black and white rhino. Day 5
Lake Nakuru - Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you leave for Amboseli National Park with a hot lunch at Nairobi. Arrive at Amboseli National Park late in the evening with a late evening game drive if time allows. The park is famous for its scenery, which includes a backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro's snow-capped peak, which dominates the landscape and open plains. Your first afternoon game drive will take place after you have checked in and had lunch in your lodge. Amboseli is known as the best place in Africa for getting up close to free-ranging elephants. The population is so robust here that sightings are guaranteed! Amboseli is also a photographer’s paradise. Those wonderful photos you’ve seen of elephants seemingly posing in front of snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro? They were taken here. On your game drives on Amboseli’s great horizons you can spot wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, gazelle and of course, cheetahs and lions. You'll return to lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay. Explore Amboseli
After breakfast, take your packed lunch at the reception and leave for a full-day game drive at the park. Get some amazing views of Mount Kilimanjaro before the clouds build up over the summit. Here to be spotted are the big cats as well as herds of African elephants. Explore this amazing Kenya pride for the whole day. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp. After breakfast, Transfer to the coast by train from Emali train station at 9 AM. Arrive in Diani by 2.30 PM, check into your beach resort and enjoy the afternoon at leisure—swimming, walking the shoreline, or simply resting after safari travel. Dinner and overnight by the ocean. I was referred to Arzoni Africa Safaris by a friend. My Canadian boyfriend informed me around June that he was planning to have spend a two weeks safari and beach relaxation in Kenya and Tanzania. Parks of his interest were Mara, Lake Nakuru, Samburu, Amboseli, Taita hills, Ol Pajeta and Lake Naivasha. Sam made our safari planning seamless and every request by my boyfriend and I were considered in the final itinerary. Overally, we had 10 days of safari and 4 nights in Zanzibar. The choice of accommodations was amazing and our expectations were met. Food was also excellent except in Elewana Tortilis (Amboseli) which were somewhat too spicy.
