In the morning, travel to Lake Manyara National Park. Famed for panoramic views, waterfalls, clear streams and hot springs. Explore Ngare Sero Waterfalls & Hominid Footprints
Start the day with an adventurous waterfall hike guided by a Maasai, passing traditional villages along the way. Visit the Engaresero Footprint Site, where over 400 fossilised hominid footprints, 5 000–19 000 years old, reveal ancient behaviours—some appear to jog, others show unusual toes, and many indicate groups of women and children travelling together. Flamingo Lake Walk
Join a Maasai guide for a Flamingo Walk at Lake Natron, where endangered lesser flamingos paint the alkaline waters pink. Hike to waterfalls, passing villages and wild scenery, then visit the Engaresero Footprint Site, with over 400 fossilized hominid tracks revealing ancient life. End the day with a scenic drive to Africa Safari Maasai Boma, inspired by a traditional boma, where you’ll be immersed in Maasai culture overnight. Pololeti Game Reserve, part of the Loliondo Game Controlled Area under the NCAA (Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority), is a vital corridor for migrating Serengeti wildlife and a key wildebeest breeding ground. Experience lions on the hunt, roaming elephants, grazing buffalo, and swift antelope across its open plains. Here, wildlife roams freely, giving you a chance to witness the untamed beauty of Tanzania in its most natural state. On day seven, we will drive into the legendary Serengeti, known for its forests, vast savannahs, and the Great Migration of 1.5 million herbivores and predators. In the evening, relax at Africa Safari Ikoma, ideally located between Seronera, Grumeti, and Ikorongo Reserves. Today, you will drive to South Serengeti. Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti’s endless plains, teeming with wildlife from giraffes to zebras. For an unforgettable perspective, consider the optional balloon safari, floating silently above the plains at sunrise and witnessing the park’s breathtaking panorama from the sky. In the late afternoon, journey to Ndutu/South Serengeti, renowned for the calving season of the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeests are born and predators roam nearby. There are in fact two water sources, Lake Masek and Lake Ndutu, where many wild animals come to drink.
