On this day, after a refreshing night in Blantyre at Leslie Lodge, enjoy a hearty breakfast before a Baseline Travel team member meets you for your transfer to Majete Wildlife Reserve, only a 45-minute drive away. Over days 2 and 3, you will immerse yourself in Malawi’s iconic wildlife experience, featuring guided game drives, scenic views, and the chance to encounter the Big Five in a serene and protected environment. Fly to Victoria Falls International Airport
Upon landing at Victoria Falls International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Baseline Travel team member and transferred to the Zimbabwe–Zambia border. Before crossing, you will enjoy a guided tour of Victoria Falls from the Zimbabwean side, offering breathtaking views of one of the world’s natural wonders. Afterward, you will be assisted through border formalities and meet your Zambian driver, who will transfer you to the stunning Chundukwa Lodge. Here, you will spend 3 nights in an all-inclusive Riverside Chalet, complete with dinner and a rich selection of activities to enhance your stay. Domestic Flight to Lusaka - South Luangwa NP
Enjoy an early breakfast before your transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to South Luangwa National Park. Your journey departs at 08:40 via Lusaka and arrives in Mfuwe at approximately 11:40, subject to availability on the selected travel day. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to Thornicroft Lodge, where you will spend 4 nights in a stunning luxury chalet overlooking the Luangwa River. Your stay includes all meals and 2 game drives each day. After settling in, enjoy lunch at the lodge before heading out for an afternoon–night game drive, departing around 16:00 and returning after sunset. The park boasts a thriving population of big cats — especially leopards and lions —alongside large herds of elephants, hippos, and buffaloes. It is also home to rare and endemic species such as the Thornicroft giraffe, Cookson’s wildebeest, and Crawshay’s zebra. The Luangwa River, known for having the highest concentration of hippos and leopards per square kilometer in Africa, provides an ideal habitat for a wide range of wildlife. Its fertile riverbanks attract fish eagles, jackals, hyenas, crocodiles, and countless bird species, creating unparalleled viewing opportunities. Sunsets over the Luangwa River are unforgettable, and visiting this park is a highlight for any true lover of Africa.
