Arrival in Nairobi – Transfer to Amboseli National Park
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your preferred location in Nairobi, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide for a briefing before beginning the scenic drive to Amboseli National Park. The journey offers changing landscapes from bustling city views to open plains dotted with traditional Maasai homesteads. You will arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch, and later explore the park on a game-viewing experience across the vast plains. Explore Amboseli National Park
Spend the day discovering the diverse beauty of Amboseli National Park. The park is known for its impressive elephant population, open savannah, acacia woodlands, and seasonal wetlands that attract many wildlife species. During your wildlife exploration, you may encounter lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species. The snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro provides a spectacular backdrop for photography. Breaks will be taken at scenic viewpoints where you can enjoy the serene landscapes before returning to your lodge later in the day. Amboseli to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, depart Amboseli and journey through Kenya’s scenic countryside toward the Great Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Nakuru National Park. The drive presents beautiful views of escarpments, farms, and small towns along the way. Upon arrival and check-in at your lodge, proceed to explore the park, which is famous for its birdlife and thriving populations of both black and white rhinos. The park also hosts lions, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes. Enjoy wildlife viewing along the lakeshore and forested areas before returning to the lodge. Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and drive toward the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey travels through the beautiful Great Rift Valley landscapes and the Maasai countryside. Upon arrival and check-in at your camp or lodge, begin exploring the vast plains of the reserve, known for its abundant wildlife. The Masai Mara is home to the Big Five as well as large populations of wildebeest, zebras, antelopes, and many predators. The reserve offers some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in Africa, with large herds of grazing animals and powerful predators roaming the plains. During your exploration, you may see lions resting under acacia trees, cheetahs scanning the savannah, and elephants moving through the grasslands. Day 6
Masai Mara to Central Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart the Masai Mara and travel toward the Kenya-Tanzania border, where immigration procedures will be completed before continuing into Serengeti National Park. Your Tanzanian guide will meet you for the journey into the central Serengeti. The landscape gradually opens into endless plains dotted with kopjes and acacia trees. Along the way, wildlife encounters are common as the Serengeti hosts immense populations of animals. Arrive at your lodge or camp in the central Serengeti area and enjoy the surrounding wilderness. Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The route passes through scenic highlands and wildlife-rich plains while offering views of traditional Maasai villages and pastoral landscapes. Upon arrival at the Ngorongoro Crater, descend into the crater floor, a natural wildlife sanctuary formed by an ancient volcanic collapse. Upon arrival in the afternoon, your guide will drop you at Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar Island. After landing in Zanzibar, you will be met by a private driver and transferred to your beach hotel. We had an unforgettable safari experience in Kenya, visiting Amboseli, Tsavo East and Tsavo West. Our driver, Cina, is truly the absolute number one! With his 21 years of experience, you can immediately see that he knows every single corner of these parks. He took us to incredible places and gave us the chance to see lions early in the morning – twice we were the very first car in the park to spot them, before anyone else arrived. The lodges were very nice – not top luxury, but still comfortable and charming. The agency handled things fairly well overall, although we were asked to make part of the payment in cash: an initial deposit with bank transfer/credit card, and then quite a big amount we had to withdraw in cash for the balance. Apart from this, everything went smoothly. This safari was a fantastic, once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I especially want to thank Cina, our driver – without him, it wouldn’t have been the same. Truly the best!
