Day 1
After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from the city hotel. You will then depart for a scenic drive to Samburu National Reserve, via the central highlands of Kenya with views of coffee, tea, sisal, pineapple, and subsistence farming activities. You will arrive in the dramatic semi-arid scrubland of the Northern Frontier in time for lunch. After lunch, you will proceed for an afternoon game drive in the park. Samburu is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely Ewaso Nyiro River. It is home to species only found north of the equator, from the reticulated giraffe to Grevy’s zebras, gerenuk, Beisa oryxes, and a host of the big game including elephants and lions. Mid-range lodge located inside Samburu NR Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included) Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 2
Prepare yourself for an amazing region along the Ewaso Nyiro River, Samburu. This reserve is famous for its truly wild semi-arid landscape and the large concentration of wildlife. Samburu is popular for hosting the rare Northern Kenya animal species (gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, grevy’s zebra, beisa oryx, and Somali ostrich) which are not found in other popular parks and reserves in Kenya. It is also home to all the African big cats (lion, cheetah, and leopard), alongside other big game including elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, hippos, impala, waterbuck, and many others. This reserve is also a renowned bird-watching haven, with hundreds of bird species residing here. You will spend your morning game drive which commences the morning after breakfast when the animals are most active. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to photograph your sightings. You'll retire to the lodge for lunch and relax. In the evening, you'll go forth on additional wildlife-viewing. Mid-range lodge located inside Samburu NR All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 3
You will depart Samburu after breakfast and drive further along the floor of the Rift Valley with scenic views of both en route to Masai Mara National Reserve. You'll arrive at Masai Mara National Reserve in time for lunch. After lunch, you will proceed for an afternoon game drive that introduces you to this vast game-filled reserve. Mid-range tented camp located just outside Masai Mara NR All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 4
You'll enjoy a full day of unlimited game drives in the phenomenal Masai Mara. One of the most iconic wildlife regions in Africa. You’ll have excellent opportunities to spot some of Africa's most notable species such as lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards, cheetahs, and many more. We can also arrange for a stunning hot air balloon safari over the Masai Mara at an extra cost. Just ask us our friendly guide about these fantastic extras to add some truly intimate touches to your Kenya safari experience. To get some of the best wildlife viewing of the day, an early start is needed to beat the heat of the sun. This is the time that the big cats are most active and can provide some of the most dramatic photography, thanks to the beautiful lighting. Mid-range tented camp located just outside Masai Mara NR All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 5
You'll have an early morning game and scenery viewing drive after breakfast as you exit the Masai Mara National Reserve and proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, a birdlife haven, at the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Lake Nakuru is known for hosting some endangered but beautiful species. You’re sure to see rare Rothschild’s giraffe along with white rhinos, especially along the lakeshore. The park is also a sanctuary for one of Kenya’s largest populations of black rhinos. Arrival will be in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, you will embark on a game drive before going back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Mid-range hotel located less than 1hr drive from Lake Nakuru NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 6
In the early morning, you will drive to Lake Naivasha, the highest and the most beautiful of the Rift Valley lakes. Sitting at 1910m (6200ft), the water is fresh and the lake is fringed with dense clumps of papyrus (ancient Egyptians once used this to make paper). Kingfishers use the papyrus as a perch and herons hide in it while searching for food. Naivasha is yet another area popular for bird watching (over 400 species have been recorded). It is also a favorite weekend retreat for Nairobi residents, who come here to sail, water ski, and fish. There are no crocodiles in the lake as the water is too cold for them (due to the altitude) but there are several hippos. You could go on an amazing boat ride in the lake too at an extra cost as it is an optional activity. Along the lakeshore, vineyards produce grapes for the country's fledgling wine industry. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge. Mid-range lodge located near Lake Naivasha (Naivasha) All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 7
You will get an early morning start and drive to Amboseli National Park. You will go on an afternoon game drive after checking in at your accommodation and eating lunch. Amboseli National Park is situated south of Nairobi. Most of the park consists of a dry, ancient lake bed and fragile grassland with patches of acacia woodland. In the southern area, there are several small, rocky, volcanic hills. Around the Ol Okenya, Ol Tukai, and Enkongo Narok swamps, the vegetation is lush with yellow-barked acacias and phoenix palms. Your dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge. Mid-range tented camp located just outside Amboseli NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 8
You'll wake up early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit. Despite its changing habitat, Amboseli National Park is possibly the best wildlife area in all of Africa to experience elephants at close range. Elephants feeding and bathing in the swamps form the highlights of any safari! An optional visit to a Maasai village can be planned after breakfast at an extra cost. You will see the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge. Mid-range tented camp located just outside Amboseli NP All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 9
You'll have an early morning game drive followed by a hearty breakfast then check out of the camp. You'll leave for Emali Train Station where you will board your train to Mombasa. You will be picked up by our representative at the Mombasa train station for a transfer to your beach resort where you will spend your beach holiday. Mid-range resort located at Diani Beach All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included)
Day 10
In the morning after breakfast at the resort, you have an option of going for a tour or spending time on the warm sandy beaches. The Kenyan coastline is a superb location to rejuvenate before returning home. It takes you to a majestic tropical paradise of blue-green waters lapping at long soft sand beaches with so much to offer. With almost seventeen kilometers of pristine white sand, cerulean water, and waving palm trees, this picture-perfect beach hugs the shores of the warm Indian Ocean. There are coral reefs to explore, and the sand bars make it perfect for swimming and many other water sports. 5.0/5It was an amazing experience to witness the migration with my friend Jayden. Our driver John was quite knowledgeable and kind. He accommodated all our requests and managed to find all the big five for us even after witnessing the migration. I would definitely recommend him and Jamlan holiday safaris. Teddy who was our consultant was quite helpful too and recommended amazing accommodations for us .

We were very fortunate to have Sam as our driver and guide during our week long safari traversing Amboseli, Naivasha and Masai Mara. Sam is well spoken and has a great sense of humour. He has excellent networks which enable him to seamlessly cut thru challenges and ensure a smooth and seamless safari experience. Sam is a safe driver and his patience on what can be very challenging road and driving conditions assured us that we were always safe. Sam is flexible and willingly accommodated changes to our plan due to unforeseen circumstances. As a foreigner travel in remote areas can be very daunting and having Sam with us gave us a feeling of safety. We will recommend Sam and Jamlan Holiday Safaris to our friends and family and look forward to using his services when we next visit this beautiful country. If you are looking for a safe and memorable wildlife experience, it just does not get better than Jamlan Holiday Safaris. Thanks Sam for looking after us and we look forward to staying in touch with you and wish you the best in growing your amazing business.
