In the late afternoon, you'll gather in the lounge for tea. Then, you will head out for a game drive across the plains of Naboisho. You will experience diverse wildlife, from lion pride to cheetah families. As the sun sets, you'll enjoy a drink and snacks. Safari mornings typically begin early to catch the wildlife in action at first light. Walking safaris are most enjoyable in the cool morning hours, customizable in duration for the group's needs. A visit to a nearby Maasai community offers a unique cultural experience, replacing a game drive. Morning game drives include a packed breakfast, while afternoon drives often feature a sundowner. For a unique twist, you'll venture on a night game drive to spot nocturnal creatures in the darkness. You'll conclude the day with tales around the campfire, sharing the day's safari adventures with fellow travelers. Alternatively, there's an option for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch, returning to camp in the mid-afternoon. The Serengeti offers prolific game viewing, with the Great Migration adding excitement, featuring sensational river crossings in the northern Serengeti and frenetic predator activity in the southern plains as they target newborn wildebeests and zebras. Day 8
Make the most of your travel day with a leisurely start, allowing time for breakfast in camp before heading to the airstrip for your flight to Seronera. Upon arrival, a guide from Dunia Camp will greet you, providing a brief introduction to the area. You'll take a relaxed game drive towards camp, leaving the bustling Seronera region behind and heading west to the Moru Kopjes and Dunia Camp's serene sanctuary. After a tree-shaded lunch, you'll take the opportunity to settle into camp, enjoying views from your private veranda or the elevated lounge. As the afternoon cools, you'll gather for coffee or a refreshing drink before an afternoon game drive across the Serengeti plains. You'll find a scenic spot to enjoy a cold drink as the sun sets. Upon returning to camp, you will freshen up before fireside drinks and a delightful dinner. Serengeti's wildlife is abundant, and Dunia Camp's central location ensures access to the Great Migration herds throughout the year. A full-day drive with a picnic lunch covers the southern plains, parts of the western corridor, and central regions, offering a diverse game-viewing experience. For an extra adventure, you will consider a hot air balloon safari, providing a unique perspective on wildlife at an additional cost. You'll enjoy the picturesque drive, passing through the lively town of Karatu and entering the gates of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The steep ascent winds through lush tropical jungle until you reach the crater rim road, offering a breathtaking viewpoint over the crater. You will pause here to stretch your legs, take in the view, and enjoy a picnic lunch brought from Dunia Camp. You will continue in an anti-clockwise direction around the crater rim. You'll eventually move away from the rim and into the green rolling highlands of Ngorongoro. You'll pass by goat herders and waving school children as you circumnavigate the base of Ol Moti Crater, arriving at The Highlands. On the crater floor, indulge in coffee and breakfast snacks during the unique game drive experience. A picnic lunch awaits by the hippo pool, where grunting rafts of hippos provide company. By mid-afternoon, commence the return journey up the caldera walls, reaching the rim and heading back to camp. You'll freshen up and enjoy a drink in the bar before dinner. Mardi organised the most amazing holiday for us in Namibia. I usually do all our travel research, plans and booking but Nambia is vast with so many choices I am so glad I got Mardi to work on our itinerary and book everything She was professional and personable. The planning calls were great and really felt personalized. We loved every place we stayed and she got the right mix of balancing the budget and spending in places where it was worth it. Her itinerary was spot on balancing the mix of driving and activities. Always flexible and prepared to look at different options - think she really understood the type of people we were and what we would like. Great call a week before we left to go through everything, questions and some good travel tips. Car Hire was great and the Viatu App was really useful through out the trip. We felt that everything we did was worth it - just wish we had more time in Nambia, It is a fabulous country to visit and we loved our time there . Thanks Mardi!!

Mardi from Viatu planned every last little detail for our 12 day driving trip around Namibia. This trip exceeded our expectations, from the amazing wildlife to the breathtaking landscapes and the beautiful Namibian people. It truly was the trip of a lifetime. Everything went so smoothly.. We were a bit nervous about the long drives, but they gave us the chance to appreciate the stunning country. Viatu would check in on us to make sure everything was going ok. Definitely use Viatu to book your bucket-list trip. Thanks Mardi!
