Duration
14-Day
Chobe National Park, Botswana
This fantastic safari covers some of Namibia's main tourist attractions, from Sossusvlei to the quaint little coastal town of Swakopmund (where the warm desert meets the cold Atlantic Ocean). We then continue on to Damaraland for dramatic scenery and then to Etosha and Chobe, which are two of Africa's best game viewing parks. The Caprivi offers a very similar feel to the Okavango Delta without being expensive or crowded.

Tour step
You'll be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
Day 1
After meeting your guide at either a hotel in Windhoek or at Hosea Kutako International Airport, we will depart for Sossusvlei in the morning. We will drive through the Khomas Hochland and down the escarpment via one of the scenic mountain passes into the Namib Desert. This journey will take about four hours depending on the number of stops for photographs. After lunch and settling in at the lodge, we will depart for a late afternoon scenic nature drive. Dinner and your accommodations will be at one of the best lodges in the area. You will be perfectly situated to explore the surrounding desert and its attractions. Mid-range lodgeoutside Sossusvlei (Sand Dunes, Namibia) All meals included Drinks not included
Day 2
After an early breakfast and coffee, we will depart for a morning excursion to Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei. We will stop at the scenic Dune 45 along the way and spend a couple of hours at both Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei before enjoying a picnic breakfast between the dunes. Some of the dunes in the area are a few hundred meters high. The view from the top of the dunes for those that dare to climb is one you will never forget! On the way back to our lodge we will stop at the ancient Sesriem Canyon (where the Tsauchab River drops down 30m) before continuing to Sossusvlei. After lunch at the lodge we will depart for Swakopmund via Namib Naukluft National Park. Mid-range hotel in Swakopmund (City, Namibia) Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinks not included
Day 3
After a relaxing breakfast, we will depart for a half-day living desert adventure where we will learn more about the fascinating desert plant and animal life. We will search for side-winding snakes, scorpions, burrowing lizards, spiders, and beetles. Later we will return to Swakopmund in time for lunch. You will then spend the afternoon at your leisure. We can help organise Quad-biking and sand-boarding on the dunes, scenic flights, curio shopping, or tours of the beautiful architecture of this fascinating town with its great coffee shops and restaurants. We will stay in the same hotel from the previous night. Mid-range hotel in Swakopmund (City, Namibia) Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included) Drinks not included
Day 4
Today we continue our safari northwards along the Skeleton Coast. After visiting a shipwreck and the massive cape fur seal colony at Cape Cross Seal Reserve, we will turn inland towards Damaraland. Along the way we will drive past the Brandberg, which is Namibia’s highest mountain (2573 meters). We will arrive at our lodge in time for lunch and then use the afternoon to explore this unique area, which is considered by most to be the most scenic and dramatic landscape in Namibia. Mid-range lodge located inside Damaraland (Namibia) All meals included Drinks not included
Day 5
Today we will depart for Etosha National Park, where will spend the next three nights. Etosha is one of Africa’s biggest and best parks and is one of the main tourist attractions in Namibia. It is 22,912km2 in size. The Etosha Pan, a shallow depression that only holds water after good rainy seasons, is 5,000km2 in size. Etosha is known for its spectacular game viewing and the waterholes that attract huge wildlife numbers in the dry season (when all the open water has dried up). 114 mammal species are found in the park, and it is the best place in the world to see black rhino. Other wildlife found here include elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, honey-badger, black-faced impala, kudu, eland, damara dik-dik, warthog, and big herds of springbok, zebra, blue wildebeest, red hartebeest, and oryx. More than 300 species of birds can also be found here. We will do morning and afternoon games drives and relax at the pool or camp waterhole between drives. Luxury lodge located just outside Etosha NP (Namibia) All meals included Drinks not included
Day 6
We will do morning and afternoon games drives and relax at the pool or camp waterhole between excursions. Etosha National Park is Namibia's premiere wildlife viewing experience. Vegetation here ranges from dense bush to open plains, all of which attracts a diversity of wildlife. In the heart of the park is the Etosha Pan - a shallow depression that covers an area of 5000sq kilometers. The park’s landscape varies widely from the southeast to eastern areas. The white dust and clay that make up the Etosha Pan eventually turns to a reddish-brown soil, which may lead you to believe you have entered an entirely new park! Luxury lodge located just outside Etosha NP (Namibia) All meals included Drinks not included
Day 7
Today we will make our way across the park during a full morning game drive to Mushara Lodge (which is located on the eastern boundary of the park). Located in northwestern Namibia, Etosha East is a protected sanctuary within the world-renowned Etosha National Park, which is one of the most accessible game reserves in Southern Africa. Etosha East boasts vast open plains scattered with semi-arid savannah grasslands that are dotted with watering holes and secluded bush camps. An impressive 5000-square-kilometre salt pan makes up a large area of the eastern side of the park and can even be seen from space. This remote space teems with abundant wildlife such as lions, elephants, black rhinos, and giraffes, as well as a variety of birdlife (including flamingos, ostriches, eagles, hornbills, and owls). Luxury lodge located just outside Etosha NP (Namibia) All meals included Drinks not included
Day 8
After breakfast we will depart for the Caprivi, one of Namibia’s hidden secrets. The Caprivi, with its lush green woodland and big rivers, is completely different to what we experienced in Etosha. We should arrive at our lodge, which is situated on the banks of the mighty Okavango River, by late afternoon. The lodge is also situated right across from the buffalo section of Bwabwata National Park. Hopefully we will see elephants, buffalo, kudu, and other wildlife coming down to the water while we enjoy a sun-downer drink. You will have a good night's rest listening to the sounds of hippos outside. Mid-range lodge just outside Mahango GR (Zambezi Region, Namibia) All meals included Drinks not included
Day 9
After breakfast we will do a mixture of game drives in Mahango and Bwabwata National Parks and a boat cruise on the Okavango River (if we didn’t do one the previous afternoon). Both of these parks are well known for their big buffalo herds and hippos. Other wildlife that we might see include elephant, lion, leopard, wild dog, impala, kudu, lechwe, giraffe, warthog, sable, roan, zebra, reedbuck, and bushbuck (just to name a few). Between game drives we will have lunch and relax at our lodge while enjoying beautiful views of the mighty Okavango River. Other activities that could be arranged include a mokoro trip or trying your hand at catching a legendary tiger fish. Mid-range lodge just outside Mahango GR (Zambezi Region, Namibia) All meals included Drinks not included
Day 10
After breakfast we will continue our safari further east along the Caprivi Strip. After a short drive of about 200km, we will have lunch and settle into our lodge on the banks of the channels of the beautiful Kwando River. We will then explore the Kwando River on an afternoon boat cruise. We will try and find elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, wild dog, impala, sable, tssesebe, roan, giraffe, hippo, zebra, wildebeest, lechwe, baboons, and steenbok. Mid-range lodge just outside Bwabwata NP (Zambezi Region, Namibia) All meals included Drinks not included
Day 11
After breakfast you will be picked up and transferred to the lodge where you will be spending the next two nights. You will cross over into Botswana at the Ngoma gate, which is one of the most scenic border posts overlooking the Chobe River floodplain. The last 60km of this road takes us right through Chobe National Park. After settling in at your lodge in Kasane, you will enjoy a sun-downer drink while enjoying the great views over the Chobe River. Kasane is a small-town bordering Chobe National Park and is the perfect base to explore from. It is not uncommon to see wildlife in and around town. Mid-range lodge in Kasane (Town, Botswana) Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 12
This whole day will be dedicated to exploring Chobe National Park. We will go on a game drive and a boat cruise with a stop for lunch in between. Chobe has the highest concentration of elephants in the world as well as one of the highest wildlife concentrations on earth. Besides all the elephants, we will also try and find buffalo, sable, wild dog, puku (this is the southernmost limit of its range), lechwe, lion, leopard, hippo, crocodile, bushbuck, waterbuck, giraffe, and huge zebra herds. Elephants crossing, playing or swimming in the Chobe River is a sight you will never forget. Mid-range lodge located just outside Chobe NP (Botswana) Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 13
After breakfast you will be transferred across the border into Zimbabwe, which will be the third and last country that you will visit on this safari. It is a short drive of about 70km, but you should continue to keep an eye open for wildlife along the way. After arriving in Victoria Falls, you will continue straight to your lodge, which is situated close to the falls. These beautiful and majestic falls are also known as “Mosi-oa-Tunya”: The Smoke that Thunders. It is not difficult to see why Victoria Falls is considered one of the seven natural wonders of the world. After lunch and settling into your lodge, you will have the afternoon open for any activities that are not already included with this safari. Mid-range lodge located at Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) Breakfast & dinner (Lunch not included) Drinks not included
Day 14
After a relaxing breakfast (and depending on your flight times) you will be transferred to Victoria Falls International Airport. Kindly arrange this transfer time directly with the lodge and please take note that the cost is not included. Breakfast (Lunch & dinner not included) Drinks not included

5.0/5Nature Travel Namibia exceeded our expectations in every way. Right from the beginning, communications were excellent regarding itinerary planning and realised very quickly we were in the hands of true travel professionals. The consultant prepared a fantastic itinerary at short notice to suit our budget and we had a brilliant and very memorable birding trip around Namibia for 16 days. We travelled with a clued up bird guide who drove us very safely the whole 4,475km journey. The guide was extremely hard working, diligent and patient with us with a good sense of humour. All the lodges and camps selected ranged from nice to beyond beautiful. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nature Travel Namibia and we will be back to do it again one day.

We organized the tour of Namibia, the safari, next stops at Victoria Falls and Chobe through e-mail exchanges. Mrs Petra was attentive to our requests and able to adapt her proposal to our preferences. She understood what we wanted and helped us to turn a dream into reality. It was amazing! The guide, Marcel, she is an excellent driver. She knows the areas very well and we didn’t miss any opportunity to see animals and experience fun adventure. she is positive, communicative and respectful of customer’s space. The transfers and accommodations were well organized. We can say it was unforgettable holiday because of landscapes, animals, contact with nature, confort and good vibes!

From the moment our adventure began, Nature Travel Namibia delivered an experience that was nothing short of exceptional. Every detail—from the seamless logistics to the thoughtfully curated itinerary, which included all our special requests—reflected their commitment to excellence and genuine passion for travel. Communication with Pepi was very smooth throughout. Joram, the BEST GUIDE EVER, was wonderful from the moment he picked us up at the airport and remained exceptional throughout the entire trip. He was not only highly knowledgeable but also warm, thoughtful, engaging, and incredibly attentive to the needs of our family. His local insights added depth to every stop, turning each moment into a story worth remembering. The accommodations, meals, and activities were all top-notch, striking the perfect balance between comfort and authenticity. The app that allowed us to follow the itinerary—from Windhoek through Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Twyfelfontein, and finally the breathtaking Etosha—was very handy. We especially loved the Tug Restaurant in Swakopmund, and each lodge had its own unique personal touch. The state-run ones within Etosha were more crowded, but still enjoyable. Namibia is such a wonderful country—it truly felt like we were part of a David Attenborough documentary. What truly set this experience apart was the personal touch, thanks to Joram, who took such amazing care of us that saying goodbye was genuinely emotional. I wholeheartedly recommend this operator to anyone seeking an unforgettable travel experience. Thank you for making this trip extraordinary!

Nature Travel Namibia organized a fantastic 14 days tour in Namibia for the 2 of us. Everything was professionally done and the selection of lodges was superb. Nadine managed to get a small celebration form my wife's birthday as well. Our guide, Stewart Matsoto made the experience even better with his good knowledge of the country and the nature. I strongly suggest to organize your next tour or safari with Nature Travel Namibia.
