Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to a hotel
Welcome to Uganda the Pearl of Africa. Upon arrival you shall be welcomed by verdoro Safaris guide at Entebbe International Airport from where you will transfer to your booked accommodation for the night. Depending on your time of arrival at the airport, you will have a city tour and lunch before transferring to your hotel in Entebbe for some rest as you prepare for the ultimate Uganda Safari experience the following day. Day 2
Transfer to Murchison falls national park
After an early morning breakfast, your will set off to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Then have lunch en-route and then proceed to Murchison. The park is bisected by the Victoria Nile, which plunges 45M over the remnant rift valley wall, creating the dramatic Murchison falls, the centerpiece of the park and final event in an 80km stretch of rapids. Day 3
Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat cruise
Have your breakfast very early in the morning, depart for an early morning game drive as early as 6am and head into the park and look out for view the different mammals such as elephants, lions, leopards, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes and antelopes like Uganda kob, Jackson Hartebeest, bush bucks. You will have time to relax for lunch. After lunch you will join the boat cruise to take you to the bottom of Murchison falls as you spot aquatic wildlife such as hippos Nile crocodiles, and water birds. Day 4
Transfer to Kibale National Park
After your morning breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and start your journey to Kibale National Park in Fort Portal in Western Uganda through the tea plantations and rolling hills to reach Fort portal town. While in Fort portal you will have an en-route lunch and continue your journey to Kibale National Park. After checking into the lodge, you will embark on a guided nature walk in the Bigodi wetlands, and you have a chance to spot 138 bird species. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge. Day 5
Chimpanzee Trekking and bigodi swamp walk
Begin your day early with breakfast, then head into Kibale National Park for a guided chimpanzee trekking adventure. Accompanied by experienced rangers, trek through dense rainforest in search of chimpanzees, observing their playful behavior, vocalizations, and social interactions. Along the way, spot other primates such as colobus monkeys, baboons, and numerous bird species. After the trek, enjoy a scenic drive to the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a lush swamp ecosystem. Walk along elevated boardwalks, spotting rare birds, butterflies, and swamp wildlife, while learning about local conservation efforts and community projects. Return to your lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight stay, reflecting on a day filled with Uganda’s rich wildlife and pristine nature. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Nile Boat Cruise
After breakfast at your lodge, depart Kibale National Park and enjoy a scenic drive through western Uganda’s rolling hills and picturesque villages en route to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and relax briefly before an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Glide along the waterway, observing large pods of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and diverse bird life in their natural habitat. Capture stunning photos of the surrounding Savannah and waterways as the sun begins to set. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay, reflecting on an exciting day of wildlife encounters and breathtaking landscapes. Game drives
Start the day early with breakfast, then embark on a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Spot wildlife such as lions, elephants, buffalo, kob, and various antelope species roaming the open savannah. After lunch, transfer to the Ishasha Sector, renowned for its famous tree-climbing lions. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, watching these unique lions lounging in fig trees and spotting other wildlife such as leopards, hyenas, and giraffes. Return to your lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight stay, reflecting on an exhilarating day of wildlife adventure. Day 8
Tarnsfer to bwindi
Have breakfast, then set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park – famously known for its resident tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 70%, though sometimes they are hard to spot, especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey. Hoping you get the chance to spot them, the sight will be spectacular! Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi is a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda, harboring an estimated 400 mountain gorillas (roughly half of the world’s population). It includes several habituated groups which you will trek. With a strenuous day ahead, you will do less on arrival but just check in at your accommodation, and relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla-trekking experience the following day. Gorills trekking
Start early with breakfast and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After a briefing from expert guides, trek through lush rain forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Spend about one hour observing these magnificent primates, noting their playful interactions, feeding habits, and social behavior. Capture unforgettable close-up moments before trekking back to the starting point for your certificate. Enjoy lunch, then embark on the batwa cultural trails. Trek through bamboo forests in search of these playful and rare primates, observing their acrobatics and social interactions. Transfer to Bunyonyi and enjoy a canoe sundowner
Have breakfast, drive to lake bunyonyi, The lake is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of 2,200 – 2,478m, but it’s the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it almost magical. You could admire them all day. Check in have lunch and head out later for a canoe sun downer on the lake spotting some birds. Have breakfast and set off to Lake Mburo National Park via Mbarara town. You will arrive in the early afternoon and take some rest before proceeding for the late afternoon/evening game viewing. Transfer to entebbe international airport
After breakfast at your lodge, depart Lake Mburo and visit the Ankole Cultural Museum to explore the traditions, history, and daily life of the Banyankole people, including traditional homesteads and cultural artifacts. Continue your journey north and stop at the Equator for memorable photos and a brief experience. Resume the drive to Kampala, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening. During the planning stages Verdoro Safaris was very helpful with setting up the routes and activities during the safari. The guide we had was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife as well as general questions we had. When the weather was less than great there were alternatives provided from which we could choose. The accommodations they had us in were great and very close to the parks and activities. The vehicle was well maintained and comfortable. We were able to see almost everything that we wanted to see and the only misses were due to weather or just nature not cooperating. Would highly recommend.
