Start your adventure with an early 6:00 AM pick-up from your Kigali hotel and enjoy a scenic drive through Rwanda’s breathtaking countryside to Akagera National Park. Upon arrival, embark on a thrilling morning game drive, where you can spot majestic wildlife including elephants, giraffes, zebras, and buffaloes roaming freely across the park’s vast savannahs and rolling hills. After the excitement of the game drive, indulge in a relaxing afternoon boat safari on Lake Ihema, observing hippos, crocodiles, and a stunning variety of water birds in their natural habitat. Day 2
Full-Day Game Drive & Return to Kigali
Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, when wildlife activity is at its peak. Explore Akagera’s northern and southern plains, where you may encounter lions, rhinos, buffaloes, and other iconic African animals in their natural habitat. Around midday, enjoy a delicious lunch at Mihindi Restaurant, overlooking the park’s beautiful scenery. After lunch, continue your safari adventure and exit the park from the southern gate before beginning the scenic drive back to Kigali. You will arrive in the early evening and be dropped off at your hotel or residence, concluding a memorable full day in Akagera National Park.
