Your journey begins with a comfortable pickup from Johannesburg between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM in a luxury air-conditioned vehicle. You'll arrive at Pilanesberg around 9 AM for an exhilarating 3-hour morning game drive in an open safari vehicle—perfect for spotting the Big Five! By noon, you'll settle into the exquisite 5-star Ivory Tree Game Lodge for a delicious lunch and effortless check-in. You'll relax by the pool, enjoy the stunning views, or unwind before departing on 3-hour sunset game drive from 4 PM to 7 PM in an open safari vehicle, chasing incredible wildlife moments under golden skies. You'll return for a gourmet dinner at the lodge’s restaurant or outdoor boma (weather permitting). Guided Safari Drives and Return to Johannesburg
You'll wake up early for a 3-hour morning game drive in an open safari vehicle, led by Ivory Tree’s expert guides, returning around 9 AM for a hearty breakfast. You'll spend the morning soaking up the lodge’s top-notch 5-star facilities—pure serenity! At noon, you'll join an optional short game drive in a closed vehicle for one last wildlife fix, or choose to relax at the lodge (pickup at 2:30 PM if skipping the drive). You will depart Pilanesberg at 3 PM, arriving back in Johannesburg between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM. Need an airport drop-off by 6 PM? Just share your flight details with our team! Our first Big 5 Safari Tour was nothing short of incredible! From the very start, the excitement was unreal and it only got better with every moment out in the wild. Seeing lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable, passionate and made the whole experience even more special. It’s something we’ll never forget, truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! But we will repeat it as we still have to „hunt“ leopard 🐆 hehe
